Question about Imperial City

I read somewhere that you need all your home keeps to be able to enter? Is this true?

Hope it's not as on Ps4 Eu theres only 1 campaign that daggerfall have any presence and even then were outnumbeer 2:1 easy and the fact both AP and EP have night cappers so every morning i go for a run out of high rock...

So basically paying £ for dlc i won't be able to access :P

    To an extent yes. They haven't determined exactly which ones yet but each faction will have certain ones that they will have to control to be allowed city access.

    Yes as of right now you need all 6 of your home keeps to enter the city and I'm there with you about how that's just silly cause it will either enforce city servers jsut like buff servers were one faction owns the entire thing or AP farming servers were the domminating faction has just say 1 keep that you need to get into the city. Forces every one who wants to enter the city to try to take it but there dug in tight and are just AP farming the other factions not caring that you wanna explore the city. Hopefully when PTS come around later this month the PC players (Like myself) will summit feed back to ZoS saying needing all 6 home keeps to enter is a silly idea and needs to change.

    They are trying different forms of access on the PTS, including everyone having access at all times.

    I'm of the opinion of everyone having full access is the best option. If you control IC, it should mean you killed everyone else in there and kept them out. It's the center of the PvP zone after all.

    If you need to own home keeps, people will just stick to their factions buff servers for IC content.

    On PTS we will be testing access the following access rules and deciding if certain campaigns have different Access rules or be universal across all Campaigns:
    • Everyone has Access
    • Access granted by owning your native 6 keeps
    • Access granted by owning your native 6 keeps + 1 enemy keep
    • Access granted by owning the majority of keeps

    For clarification, "Access" means the doors in Cyrodiil around Lake Rumare (non slaughterfish side) that let you into the Sewers/City will let you click on them to go into the Sewers/City or not. These entrances will also be highlighted on your Cyrodiil map.

    Actually the Imperial City would help balance in Cyrodiil. Controlling Your 6 home keeps is not that hard to, And every side can do this at the same time. you also have to remember when a side has access to the Impeiral City alot of the forces from that alliance will go inside to the City leaving less defenders in CYrodiil. So it should not take very long for the other alliance to take back their home keeps.

    This system worked very well in Darkag eof Camelot and they used a place called Darkness Falls

    If I had to bet, the all access all the time is the option they'll end up going with. This has to do with the fact that they decided to charge for the IC. That puts them on the hook of not leaving access to the zone blocked by events they can't control, the balance in a given campaign.

    Maybe, maybe, controling enough of your own keeps to safely and quickly reach the entrance will matter, but I wouldn't be surprised if they added a secret tunnel entrance all the way back at the bases.
