Anyone plays on first person view?

I just can't stand the animations on 3rd person view. It feels generic while I really like the immersion and how,it looks from 1st person camera.

I'm not intended to be a pvp player at all so this seems to work for me.

What I'm surprise is that I almost found no twitch streaming on first person so this lead me to here.

There are anyone who is high level character and plays as first person?

I always play first person when playing any RPG like ES or Fallout. When it's an option, at least.

I was playing first-person, because the over-the-shoulder view made it hard for me to target enemies.
But, then a person on these forums posted about holding the down d-pad button and pulling back on the right stick to zoom waaaay out and now I use that view.
I die a lot less now.
It is just easier to dodge, and evade attacks when zoomed way out for me.

I usually play in first person in PvE and third person in PvP, which I rarely play. First person is much more tunnel vision, third person gives wider view of what's around you.

I did when I first started, TES habit I guess. But grouping/dungeons cured me really quick. Too many ground effects, random events going on, I didn't want to be *that* noob, ya know?

Always in first person except when rotating the camera to take a screenshot. Can hardly move much less fight in third person; guess my brain just isn't wired for it.

I play first person while using a bow or staff often. For Melee things it is a lot harder to pull off successfully though. In PVE it's not as bad but it is still harder when dealing with melee.

Surprised how many people play first person, maybe for questions but there's no way I could deal with that for PvP or Dungeons.

I spent over three hours in Character Creation for most of my characters, and I put a lot of effort into keeping them looking great with armor customization and dyes. You can bet I'll be enjoying every part of them, back-to-front, in third-person view as a result. lol

Other than that, situational awareness is a big thing for me.

While first-person works for other Elder Scrolls games, this one was designed to be played in third-person from the very beginning, and I don't see that changing for me in the foreseeable future. I'm weird, though...

Sometimes, I get the inclination to go into first-person view, whether for screenshots or just sight-seeing. When I do, I'm like: "ya know...I could really make this work for a very good portion of PvE", but then I see my freakin' greatsword that covers up more than half of the screen regardless of FoV settings, skills that completely obscure my view, and blown-up textures on all of my weapons, arms, hands, shields, and abilities that I instantly remember why I prefer playing in third-person again.

I play in first person for everything. I tank group dungeons, I pvp in 1st person. There have been maybe 5 fights which I have had to switch to 3rd person for. However, the lack of situational awareness, esp in PVP is something of an issue.. and the complete lack of buff feedback.

I started playing in first, but it's just too important to see what's around your character especially when doing dungeons. It's hard to kite when you can't see what you're running from!

I played First person all the way to V1. Then it was advised I try 3rd person for situational awareness. I spent a day or two felling dizzy, got used to it and never looked back.

You can search for other threads like this that have more more detail meriting both positions.

The short version is, with limited visual feedback, you have to be zoomed out to see AoE, side attacks in most advanced content.

It's not impossible, but it's much more difficult.

I like third person more. I spent a decent amount of time creating my character and I like to be able to see it. That is why I also have helms turned off for her, I like her hair and half of her face is scarred from a bad burn.

I tried first person for a bit last night and it was pretty cool. I doubt I will ever use it to fight with, but if I'm just in a city or town I'll try to use it to see the world from that perspective. Textures on weapons in first person are pretty bad tho =/

I think both are fun.

I stream on twitch with first person view

Just haven't been on much lately. It's a lot of fun but I don't recommend it for difficult combat or dungeons. I use an add-on that auto kicks me into 3rd person when in combat - then puts me back into 1st person after it's done. My new character I'm starting I am playing only in 1st person, so far it's been great (oh, and no quest markers).

I play in 1st person view as well, it just feels more immersive and like previous ES games. A while ago I'd swap to 3rd when doing group content, but I don't do that anymore.

While leveling my wife and I always played in first person mode. For dungeons it's a lot harder as there's ground AOE's that you can't see at times. The same goes for PVP as some of the circles can be pretty small. You can always switch back and forth on it.

I've been playing 1st person for a year, really like the immersion. But now I have a character I like to see, so I have been fooling around with 3P, I'm just not that good at it.

When leveling in low threat situations is fun to go into 1st person view. Also, doing delves are pretty fun as well. But like others have said, once theres a minor threat, you will need all the info you can get to stay alive and 3rd person view just gives you more info.

From what I am seeing, most of the people using first person are saying ''As I've played other ES games'', but don't seem to realize this is not an ES game, it's an MMO set in the ES universe. For actual group (MMO) content, you are gimping yourself using first person.

Personally, I wouldn't group for dungeons with people exclusively using first person... Why die to AoE/mobs in your back that could have been avoided easily using 3rd person ?

For soloing/questing, I still prefer 3rd person, but I see how someone would like 1st person to immerse themselves in the world.
