Stuck with farming and dungeons?

Severeds
Severeds
Just completed Cauldwell's Gold made sure I completed every map I stepped foot on (minus the dungeons) and I hit VR9 on the last quest.
Am I really stuck farming or running dungeons over and over to get to VR 14?

Ahh yeah forgot about Craglorn, I assume that's 1 VR level?, since all of the other maps are?
Repeatable cyrodiil quests? I'll have to look that up.

PvP I was hoping to wait until I maxed out my VR, Not a huge PvP fan "but" I did like PvP in Guild wars 2 and this seems comparable.

    Thanks for the response.

Craglorn XP sucks hard since they nerfed the whole place!

Apparently it will be better with the next major patch on August 31st.

After reading the notes for the update it's made it hard for me to even think about grinding out VR 14.
50% more XP for Vet quests and -15% for every level. That's a 65% increase in XP then add on the 50% XP potions making it 115%...I feel like they are asking me to stop playing for a few months. lol

Craglorn mobs starts at Vet rank 11. Some normal mobs are okay, but most of craglorn are group based. Like quests, doungens and other POI.

And no the xp are not hard to get, its just the future of the kids that like mmorpgs to be easy as a single player game, all done all maxed out in the first 14 days :cookie:

Well I'm hardly a kid but I do like the option to level up to max solo, doesn't have to be fast (aside from mob grinding) . If there were more people in the open world in Vet levels maybe I wouldn't have an issue but after hearing that Craglorn is "group quests" I'm saddened. I went hours in each veteran area not seeing a single other player.

There are a few running around, but most are just standing around like a chicken without head waiting for a instant vet dungeon / trails. Thats what happens to a game with no endgame content.

I to have soloed all the way. It can be done just close your eyes and accept the game for what it is, and that's not dream comes through believe me :)

Just renember that the rewards will not be there(the game dont contain rewards that are of any use beside endgame gruop content drops, and a few things for crafting(soloed)), beside the xp.
Though im still am. a little over 10K in achievements, all my skills are maxed, beside undaunted(4) and alliance war(6). Plus all crafting are maxed out. So somethings can be done solo. But areas like Craglorn(and a few open world dougens) i guess will wait til I can do them alone, or til / if the player base gets more open for achievement and for none maxed (stats, endgame achievements)players :)

Lol thanks for the replies, guess I'll google the repeatable Cyrodiil quests
and maybe roll an alt till the XP boosts come for Veterans, too old to farm mobs anymore, especially when I know I wont be getting any good loot.

This exactly!! I finally got my night blade to vr14 only two days ago completely solo after the first alliance as no one was around. And craglorn is just as much of a ghost town. I cleared a couple of group delves solo there but it's almost impossible without already having all gold gear and a resto staff. Keeping in mind I didn't do group dungeons either as no matter what build I'd create the match making would pair me with lower level players and we'd get obliterated on the final bosses.

So for us solo console players we just make a few alts. Get them to level 50 and then put the game away till the update comes out. Perhaps then more people will be caught up and late game areas will be more enjoyable.

    It's wrong to assume that!

    I've got 2 - VR14 chars the 3rd is V8

After playing the game for over 1 year I found that my enjoyment / fun came from Cyrodiil PvP and that's all I do in the game is PvP.

I remember statements from ZOS lead designers etc... which clearly stated "Play the way you want"

Well the way I wanted to play was grind out a character as fast as humanly possible and go PvP using the V14 armor and weapons that I've acquired over the last year of playing.

For me personally I found PvE to be boring and tasteless (my opinion) but yet I'm being forced to do that and not "Play the way I want"

I can't imagine how far behind I'd be if I didn't have a PC right beside me to make sure I hit all the the delves, poi's, dolmens, etc.. before I left an area .

You made sure you did not miss something? After grinding 2 chars to VR14 I continued with my DC mage into the VR1 area. I did everything but the undaunted 4-man dungeons. On my way I missed about 3 dolmens (they just were exploding when I got there did not bother to wait) and some worldbosses (same as dolmens).

Right now I am 250k exp away from VR8 in the VR7 area and have not done 30% of the map yet. So either the alliances differ in quests/XP you can gain per area or you just missed sth. out. Some guildies of me were VR12 after finishing Cadwells Gold.
