Magicka Nightblade Khajiit Stealth bonus

Thinking about making a magicka Nightblade and I'm wondering if any of the magicka class skills benefit from the Khajiit racial passive that increases damage from stealth?

What about dark cloack + Concealed weapon?

Any heavy attack from ranged (destro HA) + lotus fan? Good timing and both will be considered from stealth

Wanna be nasty? Be a vampire and Clouding swarm will grant you invisibility. Concealed weapon synergizes pretty well with it.

Something else? Heavy attack + Impale on dying enemies. Don't forget to mark the guy before

Dark cloak + sap esence + whatever you want (Pulse, degeneration, death stroke, soul tether, Impale, Jesus Beam, even crippling grasp)

There are a lot of Combos you can use as a Magicka NB once you understand how the class works

Hello,

Invisibility does not benefit from Khajiit Sneak dmg passives.

Khajiit racials will be getting changed slightly in Update 7. I don't think the details are 100% finalized yet, but I believe this Friday on ESO Live they'll be talking about it.

I doubt there will be anything that synergizes particularly well for Magicka Nightblade, however.

I know there are at least a few magicka based nightblade skills that are effected by the Stealthy racial passive of Khajiits currently, but that is it. Robust and Carnage don't much for magicka nightblades. Hopefully the upcoming changes will work with the build style a little better. Or better yet, removing all the racial passives would be the better thing to do. LOL

Anyone got a good magicka NB build out there? I'm doing research online and coming up with a lot of mixed opinion.

That affects both stam and magicka builds equally. It could also be argued that, since you'll be sneaking more and cloaking less as a Stam NB, that stealthy is actually yet another reason to favor a stam build. I personally don't find Stealthy all that useful since I can literally stand inside an enemy player (spamming cloak on my infinite magicka NB) without them ever knowing I'm there!

Agree 100%. I feel that Race choice should be a purely cosmetic decision. There are already plenty of tough choices within the game, where you must choose between survivability and burst damage for example. The prospect of turning my main character (who clearly can never be anything other than a Khajiit) into an Altmer or Breton just to fit a certain playstyle... I don't find that particularly compelling or interesting.

Currently running 4-piece Martial, 4-piece Magnus. Destro/Resto. Heavy Chest/Legs. The rest: Light. Spell damage jewelry.
Destro bar: Piercing Mark, Conceal Weapon, Mass Hysteria, Dark Cloak, Retreating Maneuver
Resto bar: Funnel Health, Cleanse, Structured Entropy, Ward Ally, Mutagen

I have 9 different Magicka PvP loadouts, but this is probably my most well-rounded one. I also like using Flame Clench for bridge fights. I was using Meteor for a little while but I always feel stupid seeing NBs dodge it and DKs reflect back at me

so I've gone back to using good ol' reliable Soul Tether.

Before 1.6 I played a hybrid with stygian. I actually trained my pinky finger to instinctively hit ctrl after a kill or upon disengagement. Now that I rely on cloak so much as a magicka nb it has become a negative because a lot of time I will be draining stam as i run away. And try as I might, I cannot untrain the damn pinky finger. On the other hand I have been hoping that I was getting the racial stealth bonus when I hit somebody if I was both cloaked and stealthed

My biggest hope is that they make the crit racial bonus apply to spell crit as well. That alone would be wonderful. I'm a Khajiit for life but I would love it if I didn't always have to be so envious of altmer, bretons and even dark elves.

I like my current setup for non-vet but I'm not sure how it will play in vet campaigns

Destro: concealed weapon - harness magic - dark cloak - mass hysteria - impale -- Incapacitating strike
Resto: piercing mark - healing ward - crippling grasp/efficient purge - structured entropy - swallow soul - ice comet

Is the advantage of using destro staff that much greater? I've read that the dual wielding increases your spell power
