Do you get more XP from deconstructing higher lvl gear?

Does it matter what level the gear is?

Are there other factors that influence how much XP you get from a piece? Besides it being your own vs others

@wooly1203 Yes the higher level the item, the more xp within that craft you gain, another factor which boosts your xp gain is the quality of the item. Uncommon (green) will give more than common (white) items and so on. Although this can sometimes not be the case with the deconstruction bonus trait armour. Also deconstructing armour that other players make give a slight increase over loot, which is also an increase on dismantling items that you've made. If you can find another player who is around the same crafting level as yours in the field you want and you both make, say 20 Ebon cuirass and swap, that'll also help. Deconstruction xp gain is higher than actual crafting though.

Also, deconstructing items you have made, give etremely poor xp.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but items that you steal give about 5-10 times more xp when you deconstruct it vs. Non stolen items.

I did some testing on this. If your character is low level, then you don't get as much Inspiration from deconning high level items (tested on a L5 with VR level stuff). But, a VR Ranked, even with low crafting skills gets the full amount.

As for world items, the stuff that is just laying around that has low or 0 value. The 0 Value items give little Inspiration and no mats. This is as intended. The valued items, typically around 13 or so gold, are much the same as any dropped loot as far as inspiration and materials you get back.
