Because it is fashionable to hate on games.

I guess since everyone out there can make a better game than the developers do since it is so easy to make a large successful game that works flawlessly and has perfect combat and loot systems with progression systems that leave no players behind but at the same time make you feel powerful and god like but scales all the mobs to your capabilities so that no matter how strong you are the game will always adjust to your prowess while at the same time letting those with less skills and time invested still be able to mow down all the mobs they want with one button click. And it has an engaging story.

I think I have summed up the main complaint points that people have about games.

In this age of tech, everyone hates on everything. In the case of ESO ppl wanted a multiplayer TES, what ESO is an an MMO made from TES universe..two very different things. Personally i post a lot of constructive criticism on forums, simply because i do love the game, and i see the potential for greatness and instead its Good -Great.

Getting the feeling that was you on the video. If so, sorry ... no offense intended. I just much prefer a well typed synopsis, vice listening to someone talk during a video. Maybe it's a age-thing.

I was using the batmobile and arkham knight as a example that you can't please everyone. And I do think WoW has a big part in it because people go into mmo's with such high expectations because of WoW that the game ultimately falls short.

Every one hates sad but true. Some hate is a good thing and some bad. The good hate is when it benafits the game cause the developer can make changes to fix the thing aposed to the bad hate which all it does is feed the trolls cause the find even the tiniest no one cares about thing that they love to make a big deal about.

So best answer to ignore the bad hate by using the legendary hammer Trollsbane which has a +500 flame damage ..... or just add em to your block list.

If expectation were an issue it would have been failing to meet some of the expectation of the TES series. There were also some expectation for basic standard MMO features but those are not something that only WOW has .
The fact that this game was not like WOW is why we do not see even more displeasure with the game. The fact that it wasn't like WOW is why anybody actually gave a crap about it ever being released.

The displeasure with the game comes mostly because ZOS has not dealt with many old issues and have managed to gradually pi** off most of their old patient fans. The ones that were not patient have long moved on.

Because they don't know how good they have it. This game is massive, fun, and free to play after purchase. Some people just like to get overly angry at little things.
