I've been saying they should add some new dyes to the crown store that are separate from the existing achievement related dyes, ever since they announced the crown store.

Even if they did add some to the crown store that are different, the difference would hardly be noticeable. Who's going to notice anyway. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a player walking by and thought to myself, hey I think that guy is wearing Cold Harbour Ash Black, sure wish I had that dye...

Much like Cadwell's Silver and Gold it was a cheap and lazy way to make a simple feature pull "double duty." It got them out of actually making REAL rewards for that truly endless list of achievements, the vast majority of which you still get absolutely nothing for. So either EVERY achievement is worth a dye or NONE of them are. Titles, trinkets, costumes, unique vanity pets, a personal tabbard, all of these should have been used as rewards for achievements, NOT dyes. Even if they had to be rolled out slowly and only a few at a time, which would be perfectly reasonable. Instead, ZOS decided to implement sumptuary laws wherein the "peasants" are not allowed to dress as nice as the "nobles." And the only people defending this practice are either those who already have the coveted dyes or they are actually logging in the hours to get them and know that their playstyle is one that will allow them to have them whilst people with different playstyles are left out in the colorless cold.
Achievements (especially difficult ones - which in ESO solely means time consuming) should have rewards. If the rewards are purchasable it negates the need to reach an achievement. However, I could see polls in the future popping up asking for those rewards to appear in the crown store because "not fair", "too hard", "but ...".

My contention is that all those "hard"/time consuming achievements SHOULD have cool rewards. But they SHOULD NOT be dyes. I'm a little astonished that you guys are so willing to let ZoS off the hook on this.

Dyes aren't hard to get. Just play the game!

All of the colors I want are PvP achievements...and I really hate PvP in this game. If they had the same colors for the more difficult PvE achievements I MIGHT be okay with that but I still think dyes should never have been used this way in the first place.
