easy way to get people started on CP.

what if Cadwells Silver and Cold both reward you with 100CP but not when you have over 300(and can only reach 350 via this method) and only once per account, this would encourage some reason to go through them and help newbies catchup. maybe even start VR1 with 50points.

    Sounds pretty good but maybe a bit high. Maybe other stuff can reward something like 10cp a shot like vet dungeon dailies and stuff up to whatever is the max CP at the time IE whatever the max player has is the limit.

    Maybe those people that already have more than 1 character with Silver +gold completed and do not have 300 points.

    Accelerated earning may be a better approach than giving them. As an alternative, a daily repeatable quest that rewards a single CP that can only be run on accounts below a certain threshold.

    as long as your under 300points then yes, but they wont go over 350.

    Have the enlightenment stack for more than 12 days. Also, have an enlightened pool retro-active to the beginning of the CS. So if someone starts a new char now, and hits 50, they get however many months worth of enlightened. Fairly simple system to "Build"... more like tweak.

    Most people who did not constantly grind most certainly don't have 500-600. No one I actually know (and all were vr14 when cp came) have even 350 and some of these guys play A LOT. I admitedly have cut down on my play quite a bit in the last month, I haven't even got 200.

    Don't get me wrong, I know there are those with crazy amounts, but 500 is a major overestimate for the average non grinder.

    No it would only require people like me with 3 Vr14s 2 Golds and 4 Silver and ~200CPs make another character just to advance. And sorry doing all those stupid thinly veiled fetch quests again and again for XP is forced grinding and for some people is even more annoying than killing endless hordes of mobs.
    It would also be extremely annoying for people that want to rank up by PVP.

    The minimum 32.5 CP you get from leveling to Vr14 is enough. It can be increased for low ranks and CP numbers but hiding progression behind quests is a terrible idea.

    The biggest problem is that the people who are far behind have no "worthwhile" way to catch up (lack of content).

    So the only option is to grind; problem is, grinding is tedious, and the "good spots" are already over run with the people they are trying to catch up to.

    Left with this daunting task, many just throw in the towel.

    I'd be in favor of a catch up mechanic not tied in any way to Cadwell's Silver/Gold. Ideally, Silver and Gold should be completely optional and easily skipped with alts. It's an awful questline and ZOS should feel bad for forcing us through it.

    As a casual player that occasionally pvp's, I have to say the cp gaining system is more than adequate. I've just turned vr5 at about halfway through silver and I have 31 cp. People should be rewarded for their time; the gains definitely don't need to be easier. Just my 2 pennies.
