You may read your current position into a saved variable file, sync it to your phone and then display it. But that would need a constant connection between those two devices. Plus I don't know how you can setup this file synching for dummies, as Android devices use other permissions on every device.
You can read out your current position with hacking tools. This is possible. But surely not legal or at least a legal limbo.
TBH this feature is only requested by console users. But how can you get the current position from your game? You aren't even allowed to use addons by which you could read out your current position in the game.
Ty, you were more helpful. True its only a request of console users, but isn't that the majority now? Is there no api that reads last known char location/ coordinates? If so then couldn't one overlay a moveable arrow sprite over a static map, using last known coordinates? I figure that location info is out there because it is saved to their servers, not just your console. Not looking for real advanced, just a active minimap basically, maybe with bite cool down displayed, and horse training/research notifier type stuff. Doesn't have to be an add-on to the console, just a phone app that uses basic info requests.
There are multiple eve phone apps that do that without the need to use a game add-on.
External app with in-game data is not possible without any add-on to provide it (not to mention that saved variables would only update when you do reload ui or logout). Technically most of non-interactable UI add-ons that work for PC would work for a consoles. Its just the way to deliver them to your console would be problematic. Also, the client may be set to not support external UI add-ons. I could make a simplified MiniMap for console version if there would a way to install it and test (I have XB1).
