v13 Storm Knight's Plate and where to find it

I've been asking around and gotten no definite response on this.

Where do v13 Storm Knight item's drop?

Additionally, are the type of Storm Knight items that drop v13 different than the v12 pool. In other words, can you get every piece at v13?

Update: So I found a v13 storm knight item! That being said, I still don't know where they come from!

One thing you can do is Improve the VR12 stuff you have now. Going from Green to Blue is pretty much the same as going up one level in rank on the equipment. In my experience, if the pieces are available at a level, then all the pieces are available at that level.

As for VR13 drops, probably your best bet is Upper Craglorn with the VR13 Mobs. Or, Cyrodiil Chests might level stuff up to 13, not sure as that is a VR12ish zone now.

I've never seen Storm Knight at v13, only v12. I've seen Thunderous Plate at v13, though, and that drops from Upper Craglorn dungeon bosses, I think.

the general consensus is upper craglorn, but nobody can say how after that.

I would be happy upgrading, but I have all v12 epic storm knight and I don't want to sink gold mats into v12 if I can get v13.

I've not been in Skyreach for a while, but I remember getting blue and purple set pieces there that you couldn't find "outdoors" in UC.

I tend to skip two or three VR Ranks on my gear. Not enough of a difference to go for a set every VR Rank. To see what the stats would be for VR13 Epic say, then start the improvement process to go gold, and it will show you the stats as they will be if you improve it before you improve it. I haven't seen anyone have it drop higher than v12 as it comes from v12 trials

Same situation with warlock, it doesn't not drop higher than v12

as far as warlock, yes I agree that it doesn't come higher than v12.

v13 storm knight does seem to be a thing though. I have had it linked to me a couple of times and heard others wanting it. I have had this type of thing go both ways.

I remember when people foolishly looked for v12 staff of adroitness, but also remember people telling me that I was foolish for trying to get epic warlock rings. Some times it really is a myth and other times the items are just rare.

I thought I had seen some VR13/14 Warlock. But your right, it does not exist. Must have confused it with the Martial Knowledge stuff that I am chasing now (VR13 is what I am looking for)

Storm Knight does go to VR14

It might have used to drop from Trials, and maybe it still does, but I have seen that in the Guild Stores. It is a set I am interested in for my Sorcerer so I have been collecting it. But I do my farming at the Kiosks. I have gotten Storm Knight from the mobs in LC.

It's "funny" how many pieces of this set I find on lower levels.. too many.. so many that I cannot even sell them anymore in trading guilds since they're flooded with that stuff, too. Same with the Necromancer set, the Magicka Furnace set, the Darkstride set, Rings of Syrabane, and whatnot..
It seems the drop rate is not balanced in anyway; way too many on lower levels, too little on high Vet ranks. And pretty much nothing for Stamina builds on all levels, these set items are mostly magicka or health based, especially jewelry, but also set armor.
Just wanted to say it.

eso academy looks like a nice resource. some of the information is wrong, so who knows if they are getting the storm knight levels correct. that being said, storm knight does have a different level scheme on eso academy than the other items that come from trials. Even if the information is wrong, maybe it tells us that there is something unique about the storm knight level scheme.

That is a big problem with sites like this, some have been updated, some are still pre 1.6, heck, some are still 1.2.

Check the Kiosks in Rawkla or Craglorn as a lot of VR12 to VR14 stuff is sold from there, it will give you an idea of what goes to what level.

I will check and see what I have for Storm Knight as I just got, or should be close to being done, with Nirn on Heavy Armor Chest and Helm, so I may just make that instead of using my Storm Knight stuff.

i can't even find a SINGLE piece of Storm Knight other than guild store after visiting god knows how many... probably all of them...

and it's a V13.

I'd love to have at least enough pieces to get both spell damages for my destro staff setup!

the only issue with v13 is, when vet ranks are removed, they will probably have the same stats as v12.

Those can all be done once a day. Sorry, not in game right now, so I don't remember all these quest names.

- The Truer Fangs - no idea / couldn't find starting location
- Taken Alive - no idea / couldn't find starting location
- Iron and something - no idea / couldn't find starting location

- Blood of Nirn (Skyreach Hold) - it's possibly here
- Whatever the Skyreach Catacombs - it's almost certainly not here
- The Skyreach Pinnacle - it's been verified here

The next part to try & figure out is do you only have a chance from the chest in pinnacle or can it drop from each of the spawned bosses?
IF it comes off the bosses this could be a new farm situation for v13 storm knight
I recently just had to pay 100k for one of my pieces so farm away b/c the pieces I still need are not on any guild store!

@Personofsecrets: I know the answer as I was looking for this particular VR13 shield as well.

You can get it from purple Yokudan Boxes. Aetherian Archive weekly boxes (the ones that you're given upon completing the Trials quest) seem to give the best drop chance.

VR12 version drops on AA bosses too, but almost as rarely as Warlock rings do.
