PC vs Console in Cyrodiil and Emperorship

I already know this is going to have a extreme back-lash or I anticipate it to be but, I'd like to talk about the PvP.

In my opinion I really do not like how console players have to play with PC players in PvP; now everywhere else this is fine with me but just PvP it's not. I'm currently top 20 (ranked 18) for emperor and I've met all the top 10 players. The issue is that all top 10 players are Veteran 12-14 and it's extremely difficult to compete with a Veteran 12-14 who already is pretty much a mid level boss in PvP.

I'm Veteran 5 and I've read a lot of guides before entering PvP so I know how to gain AP quick and I know what not to do. I'm not sure how everyone else feels but I just don't like having to compete with someone who has had a year to make their character a BEAST, while you're this up-start trying to become a BEAST.

Cross-platform play is something that I am all for but when one group has an entire year on another it just makes it very frustrating in trying to keep up or be the best. I lastly want to close with emperorship which I believe is broken. If you are emperor you should not be allowed to become the emperor again.

Take it easy on me everyone, I just want your views and if possible un-biased views on my topic.

I should clarify when it comes to being an emperor again. You in my opinion should not be able to become emperor twice in a campaign session. So for example if you have become emperor in the week long campaign you should not be able to become it again until the campaign resets.

Just for clarification, since I'm not sure whether I understood you correctly. As far as I know there is no cross-platform gameplay, the V14 you're seing are characters copied to console. Apart from that I fully understand your opinion - it's one of the main reasons why I stayed on PC.

Regarding the emperorship mechanic: It sounds like a nice idea to keep the power of a single player at a certain level , but I guess some top-tier players will have a quite strong opinion about it.

Got a problem with not being vr14? Grind up to vr14. It doesn't take long but it is indeed boring. It's possible to progress from level 1 to vr14 in 3 days so there's really no one to blame other than yourself.

The problem is that it's not "fair" to deal with someone who completely out-classes you because they transferred their characters. I'm sure 3 days requires continuous play (16 hours a day) and that's just not possible especially when you're in college/working on the weekdays.

Is it fair to send someone who has never did long distance running up against a college long distance runner who has been practicing for a year, I think not.

Addition: Today and I kid you not 10 players 3 were vet 11, 2 were vet 12, and the rest were 14 stormed a keep and took it over while killing everyone who was defending it (aside those who went stealth and booked it).

It sounds like you're upset about someone who has spent more time playing the game than you. Well, if you don't play much then that is only going to get worse. This is probably not the game for you then since once you hit VR14 or max level grinding and time spent are the ways you gain power.

No, that's the opposite of what should be the case. This is the kind of farming that's run rampant on PC for the past year, dropping out for the next in line constantly shouldn't be a thing. The person who earns emperor should have it, that's just the way it is. You can overtake them or you can do it next reset, but the achievement is watered down by just passing it on to people who "almost" earned it IMO..

And on PC it's at the level where this behaviour is expected, to the point where people started calling me greedy and mean for being crowned emperor twice "because I already have the emperor passives" .. yes, but I also have 600K AP vs. the closest 400K and I'm not leaving. ^^

Blame ZOS for introducing the champion system before releasing on consoles. They made that transfer promise to first day pc players and kept it.
Everybody knew it was not going to be fair - still there is no option for zos to change anything about the situation now.

It sounds like you're upset about someone who has spent more time playing the game than you. Well, if you don't play much then that is only going to get worse. This is probably not the game for you then since once you hit VR14 or max level grinding and time spent are the ways you gain power.

I'm not upset, I'd like if you wouldn't make accusations about how I feel. I truly just feel when it comes to balance it's completely one sided. To each their own opinion but let's keep it about this topic and not make false accusations.

Ah I'm not familiar on how it was on PC (as I haven't played PvP on PC).

Yup I do blame them, everyone who I talk to in PvP game chat says it's pretty unfair since it's completely one sided unless you get at-least 3 to 5 players per VR14. I would like to get a camapign where I can at-least play on more "fair" terms where I don't have to fight them since they're too beastly for me and way outclass my VR5.

Stop playing pvp and spent 1 weekend grinding up to vr 14. It's quite obvious that people who spent more time in game get better/stronger. Just spent some time working for what you want to reach and it will slowly even out.

I rolled a new sorc on console that I grinded to VR14 fairly quickly. I even managed to get my first emperor last night on thornblade, so it is certainly possible for new players to achieve this.

Any spots to grind for V14, I'm currently ranked 14 in PvP so I'm going to see if I'll get a chance to shine before dipping out.

Oh I'm use to it, I either flee and attempt to survive since I'm a DK or if I have a companion around we'll try & go for the kill. I treat all VR 14s as mid level bosses.

On PC, there were V10 (.the cap then) within days of launch. There was much qq about the advantage they had over the rest of the field. Within weeks things leveled out, and a month or two after that the capped toons outnumbered all lower ranks in Cyrodiil. The PC transfers may have exacerbated the issue on console, but it's an issue that would have existed anyway. There are already a lot of new console players that have hit v14.

Yeah now my goal is to get VR 14 and resume the emperorship goal, as of now I'm dropping out of the running (ranked 15). #1 spot is almost 1m points leaving everyone else behind by 250k. That's only achievable due to said player playing all day/night.

You do realize a lot of players on console are already v14. Plus a few players have a son and dad team playing around the clock.

I'm vr14 and I started on console, didn't take long grinding levels, and you don't need to be vr14 to be on top. Sure its probably easier to get more points. But it really just comes down to time spent playing.

Ok. So you're not upset. What about jealous feeling overwhelmed or like you can never catch up? It's an MMO. If you don't play 24/7 then you're always going to be less powerful than others. Even if there were a catch up mechanic it sounds like you wouldn't be able to fulfill what's necessary in order to stay competitive or even near the same level.
