So I was doing the WW quest today (I believe this is the 8th character I've done this on), and a funny thing happened when Hircine first gave me his gift so I could prove myself.
Just transforming...

So yeah, during the quest I was a wee bit bugged. I could still use WW abilities, but every attack looked like I was trying to use a staff that wasn't there (my character had a staff equipped before transforming), and every time I wasn't attacking, I would look like that. Heck, even when I was moving around without attacking, my legs were moving normally, but from the waist up, I looked like that. It was very disconcerting...

✭✭✭✭✭Sadly this is an OLD, and KNOWN, bug ZoS has not bothered to fix. You were wearing the Golden Saint costume there, weren't you? ANY costume bugs out the werewolf transformation. Now ya know. Too bad ZoS knows too but doesn't seem to think it's important enough to fix. Who knows, maybe they think it's funny, too.

You mean like this? YES this is because we are wearing costumes, tabards, inventory or from the costume screen. Once the costume is cleared, the quest and transformation progress normally. But this sure as hell is funny.1 -

The bug applies more to 'quest' costumes. Once you have actual lycanthropy you're fine, but as this is a temporary effect, you get hit with this.
The same bug occurs in quests that give you temporary disguises - whether its to make you look like a certain faction, or because you're looking at the memory of a specific person - you get this bug.
