Breton Magicka Templar

Hello everyone,

I am pretty new (Templar is only lvl 13) and I wanted to know the state of magicka Templars and what skills are a must. Also how are magicka Templars compared to stamina Templars in damage?

The stamina templars do far more DPS as far as I know. A Breton templar is one of the standard setups for a healer.

But for playing a magicka templar as DD: dark flare (morph of solar flare) does a good amount of damage. The templar execute (radiant destruction) is also a must have for magicka templars. You could also use purifying light or vampires bane for single target DPS. For bombing I would go with impulse and spear shards.

Templars are great healers, but there is no "magicka dd templar" build right now. Damage is laughable, comparing to other classes. But stamina templar is pretty good dd.

I dont' know how people can say magicka templars cant do good dps. I run vdsa quite a bit with some awesome healers and they dish out severe dps, 15k minimum they are doing.

That's not true at all, there are plenty of of magicka dps builds for templar. A good place to start looking would be over at the Tamriel Foundry forums.

Thanks for the replies. I keep hearing conflicting info about how much damage they do but I guess I will see for myself. Oh yea I want to add that I solo mostly. Are they good at that?

I have breton templar and i can play any role just changing my euipment and skills on bars.

personally. i love my templar (brenton vr14).
And at vr14...he is an excellent healer, and gets alot of end game action.

But...

with the current status of update 7.
my only suggestion. Reroll.

Temps are going to be nerfed hard.
and, they are a class, that needs "love" not nerf.

...so, unless Zeni has a few secrets, not spreading.
Reroll..is my only suggestion.

Heck...DK healers, are starting to look more appealing then, Temps.
