LOL not even sure how you thought of that from my post. What I HATE are logical inconsistencies like the chat in this game but the puritan approach to armor. Some call it hypocrisy and more than just myself find it irritating.

Your assumptions are incorrect. I suggest you report every offender that doesn't appeal to your senses. You can make a mini game out of it.

So apparently most respondents can't argue past a 14 year old's construction of straw man to tear apart.
As someone else pointed out, enough with the "realistic". Not sure where you got the idea that your heavy and medium armors covering neck to toe is realistic, but you should look at what was actually worn into battle over the centuries, what won wars, and what got huge numbers of men killed. The heavy plate armor age actually was very short as something successful, being quickly undone by the longbow, crossbow, and firearms. Not to mention it just wasn't very useful. They didn't march in it, and only the richest had it. Even then, they usually wore it in the rear, away from battle lines, and the most ornate and decorated stuff was only ceremonial/burial. You either know nothing about armor, or you want more fantasy than the op (I want extremely heavy armor, but no reduction in running, no drowning in water, my character doesn't collapse from heat stroke after 3 hours; even the medium armor is too restrictive, and would be too tiring, for combat or running around all day in. You could wear it to a Renaissance Festival, sure, but not running around, fighting, carrying things, jumping, etc...
there was a thread like this the other day--I think the OP's of these threads would get farther if they replaced "sexy" with "appealing" or delicate/graceful/beautiful/etc....
Personally, I want more realistic clothes, i.e. non-armor to wear around town, and armor that you would actually wear to try to survive in the wilds of Tamriel, not heavy/medium armor you would wear to march in battle formation and hold the line.

You have to be kidding me. First of all what is keeping those on her chest? Are they glued on? Also I don't think it's very useful to have high heals in combat. I'm sorry but I think this is just the stupidest suggestion that could have been asked. And something tells me you're a man. If you want stupid armor that doesn't make any sense go play FF. Actually i would like the Orc heavy armor cuirass back. It was sexy and not too revealing , don't see what was wrong with it. Also why not have the option to have the Bosmer light armor look at higher levels. Showing midriff isn't trashy.. just make it an option ..why not?

I don't care if it's sexy as long as it makes sense. You don't see male characters objectified in the game like this. The seducer armor covers every part of the males except the arms. I hope that ZOS is above this double standard.

I don't get how horses that appear out of nowhere when you whistle for them, and then disappear when you dismount, and wayshrines that allow you to "warp" across the continent in seconds are acceptable as "realistic" to some people but sexy armor isn't. Especailly considering it's an "M" rated game, I don't see what the deal is, really. It's not like people are asking for nude mods and "lovers lab" - esque sex mods, just some attractive armor. How are the above examples, as well as hundreds of others I could come up with not "immersion breaking" or "un-realistic", but armor that shows some exposed skin is?

The appealing clothing to me is something that actually looks like it is giving the protection that the stats say. Not about crawling through a dungeon in a thong and a top that is so small that it probably needs a mystical enchantment to keep everything inside. Elder scrolls has never been about that.

If you want the naughty stuff, there are dozens of Asian-esque MMOs out there to choose from.

See, I don't get this line of thinking. I don't want to play another MMO, and I'm not talking about chainmail bikinis either. Other MMOs are NOT Elder Scrolls, and that's what I want to play. I think what we're saying is that, it's an M rated game, for gosh sakes, and there are plenty of other, even more so "unrealistic" things in the game ... why not have some cute armor for the characters as well? I mean, if you look at the most popular Skyrim mods, guess what? Most of them involve just that.

Don't be silly, I am not asking for x rated armor, just something between x rated and church rated.

i don't really see how this is silly when you see grown men in game running around with female characters in their bra and panties and male characters in their briefs doing pushups with each other, i mean would this really be shocking?

and i say grown men because i have yet to come across a female playing a female character that is running around naked like a tool.

Also enough with the "omg armor must be realistic," the game is a FANTASY, those who use realism as to why something can not exist are using one of the lamest excuses in a GAME, I get realism thematically but how you are using it is a total dodge.
Personally I am as fed up with the people who think "fantasy" means they can have whatever "because magic". Want magical force field protection? Run around in your underwear, spam hardened shield, see how far that'll take you.

I like the "armor looking like armor" touch in ESO. I hate how in some other games, people can have high end armor protection and still look like they should be dancing in a bar instead of walking on a battlefield. If armor shoes skin, it by nature cannot protect that shown skin. Which is kinda counterproductive to the very idea of armor, yes?

Of course... I also like to dress up my characters for non-combat occasions when the roleplay calls for it... which may sometimes include bars... or scantily clad dancing around a bonfire on mountaintops...
In that spirit, I was very happy when non-armor clothing started to show up in wardrobes to steal, and am really hoping they will expand on that with lot more options for this... (and yes, that should include dancer outfits "sexy" enough for everyone ;) )

I'd agree to that! I definitely want more "town clothes" to diversify my characters non-combat outfits, and I would just love to see "realistic" reasons not to tromp around the landscape in heavy armor (which by the way isn't usually the full plate some mention, most of it seems more akin to half-plate... but even so, realistically that sort of thing would only have been worn when expecting battle, and otherwise be bundled up on the packhorse). Swimming penalties would be the very first I'd add to the game. And then... some more quests where you need good swimming... ;)

That's my mind on the topic as well. And my roleplaying characters have multiple outfits as well for that reason.

What I dislike is people who want "sexy" outfits, but with the same protection as "unsexy, covered from head to toe like a battle nun" armor. One of the thing I also dislike about the costumes we have - that their mechanic can allow people to have full protection in a wedding dress, I would much rather see them divided in combat costumes which stay during a fight, and non-combat costumes which unequip if taking damage...

I would love if they changed the gear around a bit... if for example, had each piece in two versions, a full coverage version, and a "partial coverage" version, that shows more skin at the price of, say, only having ¾ of the protection? Could call it the "summer" version... then we'd have double the options, and each could decide if their sexyness is worth the tradeoff. Go for the armored boots or just the sandals with some greaves? Wear the chainmail leggings or just a studded leather kilt? For for the full curiass, or just have a armored breastplate? Full helmet, or just the skullcap? ...et cetera.

As for sexyness... that I would prefer to see covered by non-armor clothing. But I have to agree that now the game went "M" ever since the start of the justice system, some parts of it ought to mature up a bit ;)

I agree, those running around in bra/panties or underwear for the men are just plain wrong.

As a side note I am fine with armor being more "armory" if they could at least give us some in town clothes that are much more fashionable and attractive, though I still think armor can be made both functional and attractive. The realism thing though is still a lame argument, we are gaming, it should be ok to stretch the boundaries in the name of entertainment.

Open chat is as you said, OPEN CHAT and ZOS can't control what people say unless someone else reports it so stop trying to compare open chat to armour and blaming ZOS for allowing XXX open chat but not armour. You can't compare armour (which ZOS does control) to open chat (which they don't control unless a player is reported by another) side-by-side and if you think you can then you need to grow up. I am glad they went with a better approach to armour than most other MMO's.

I hate seeing the ridiculous scantily clad armours in MMO's because women who were fighters never wore than kind of crap and high heels, etc.. in combat. The armour in this game wasn't designed around being prostitute inspired and if that's your thing then fine but go look at other games because they went with a different style which, IMO, was the better choice anyway. Sure it's a fantasy game, that's why we have magic, wayshrines, strange creatures, etc... but fantasy doesn't mean it HAS to have armor that shows more skin than amour itself. It also doesn't mean they can't go with a slightly more realistic approach to armour style than other fantasy games.
