Paragraphs in MOTD (Guilds) Xbox One

I can't believe I have to ask this but how on earth are people paragraphing on the message of the day for guilds? I've tried putting extra long spaces between sentences and it all just squishes together.

Do you have a keyboard?
On PS4 (with keyboard) I just hold "alt" and hit "enter" to do a linebreak.
Also, on PS4 (the onscreen key inptu) there is a little down arrow that starts a new paragraph...maybe look for something like that?

@Ace-2112 Thanks so much for the reply. I use the smartglass app on my iPhone to type and I couldn't find anything on the basic Xbox keyboard.. I shall type up the message with notes on my phone then copy and paste. With a little luck that'll work.

You'll either need a keyboard or a chat pad.

Microsoft, being complete idiots, removed the enter key from their onscreen keyboard to prevent empty messages from being sent by trolls.

Nevermind this isn't an issue with every other device on the planet.

Countless posts on XBox has brought this issue up, but Microsoft refuses to budge. This is why you see so many XBox profiles appear as one giant wall of text.

I use a keyboard but I still can't enter a line break on XBox. Even when using a keyboard, the onscreen keyboard still pops up while typing and shows a single row for text entry which can't accept a line break (at least not with any method I've tried...).

Yeah, I have always had a wireless USB compact keyboard attached to my Xbox that lives on the coffee table. It's something that I couldn't live without now. Any basic wireless keyboard will work fine with the Xbox, mine cost £5 GBP.

Alt + Enter creates a new line.

If memory serves, you won't see the actual line break, but if you post the message, it shows up.

At least, that's how it used to work on the 360.

I haven't purchased a chatpad for the XBX yet.

Update: It appears Microsoft completely removed the line break option from XBox One messaging.

In order to get a paragraph, you'll need to add spaces so the text wraps around and "starts" a new line.

I'm not sure what the maximum character length is per line, but play around to figure it out.

Stupid beyond words.

Well, no reason to get a chat pad now. Just saved me $40.

I just put spaces but its frustrating. I hope there would be a funky key command / code

Problem with spaces is unsure how it shows on different resolutions / screens?
