what happen with xp when resetting skills?

I'm at level 25. I'm a shield and sword and I have 32 xp on one hand and shield. The thing is that if I switch to 2h I'm only 8xp. So most of the abilities wont be available for me on that tree. I'm correct?

Xp is not affected when resetting skills point? If that is the case changing a role is not w viable option at these stage?

If you are talking about the XP you earned to leveling a skill up, nothing happens. You retain the XP towards that skill.

You nailed it @thomas.k.grayb14_eso. Your progress is completely saved between respecs. If you had level two on one morph and were 54% towards level three in it, and then change your morph to the other one and level that, you will have the exact same progress on the original one if you later decide to change back, just as you left it

Sorry that confused me.

I'm level 32 on 1h combat and 8 on 2h combat. If I reset skills completely. Would Xp stays the same? In other words resetting skills will make my life harder since I have more xp on the 1h combat I plan to switch from?

The XP from one skill does not transfer over to the new one, nor is the old skill reduced.

Thank you. Then I will stays as 1h combat. The gap is to big to change now. 32 against 8. Too bad i was really liking the 2h combat.

it goes up fast, so you can change if you want. it isn't a big problem.

You can level both. for easy fights use the 2h combat, when you get to a boss switch the 1h. In no time at all your 2h will skill up.

You can level both (or more) ...

On my current char, i had both my main skills leveled to 50 before i even hit VR ranks. Now i'm using my second skill slot to level additional skills while grinding through the ranks. You can even level other armor lines if you want to.

That way, you have many more options to respec when you hit VR16 ...
