Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

After playing ESO for 3 weeks on PS4, I have to say that this game is awesome.

l have to say, l really enjoy the game as well. l have played for almost 20 years now, and this is the first time l play online.
What a great experience! lt is just so great, to be able to play together and help each other out. True there are a lot of glitches and frustration but l am sure things will improve.
l do miss owning a house though where l can leave all my stuff...
Skyrim was better in many ways

    I agree.

I played it on PC and now split between PC and PS4 depending which char I want to play and which friends are online. I have to say though, I was impressed by how well the game plays with the PS4 controller. I generally much prefer mouse and keyboard but this game works really well on the PS4. I have no idea about Xbox One and it's controller setup with ESO.

Glad you're enjoying it. I've been on PC for quite awhile and I'm still finding things to occupy my time, despite the notorious lack of content.

Love hearing this, glad I'm not the only one who's enjoying all those fun little things in ESO.

First off, stability was fixed immediately and has lead to regular weeknight game play and weekend marathon sessions.

Next, this weekend I started my 3rd character and doing the starting areas for all 3 factions. The storylines for all three were very fun and the scenario is beautiful to play in.

I got to do some pvp on my level 20 Nightblade with one of guilds and that was definitely BIGTIME fun. Grouping up, and riding off and into battle with at least 50 others to lay siege on a castle wall while repelling attackers and then knocking down a wall to invade and rout their defenses to take control of the keep was wicked awesome fun. Then they attacked and we had to defend, and defend we did. We drove them off and hunted the stragglers down. Pvp was alot of fun and I'm looking forward to doing much much more.

I also used the group finder and ran some dungeons. That too is alot of fun and farming for loot and possible getting a set out of it is something I'm going to be trying to do in each area.

Then I found out that there are so many quests to do that I have quickly learned that my preconceived notion of doing all the quests in an area before pushing on is wrong. I have got my choice of many quest lines to do before I move on.

I can spend many hours farming mats and looking for recipies....... and they are out there. I got a Blue salad recipe out of an urn in a public dungeon.

I haven't even done fishing yet, and I definitely need to do that.

I haven't even done any selling with my guild store to sell some stacks of mats.

I know that there are quite a few things I haven't done yet that are there for me to do.

I have to say that ESO is just awesome.

Please, do not change a thing ZOS. Other than opening other areas and adding VR ranks, do not change the way this game is.

    It is so much fun.

Keep up the great work and thank you.

    You're obviously an MMO newbie.

    Thus is a joke.

So many BASIC quality of life items that are missing. Every other MMO has them, not ESO.

    - No crossplay.
    - No auction houses.
    - No player housing.
    - No text chat. Wow.
    - Can't see character names.

EVERY other console MMO has all of these.

Go play a REAL MMO, like FFXIV or DCUO, then you'll see how bad ESO is. Its laughable.

Zenimax had almost 2 years AFTER the PC release to get the console version right and they didn't. WTF??

The FFXIV expansion just came out and any real MMO player is playing that.

    RIP ESO.

I play both ESO and XIV (since 1.0) and I can tell you heavensward is 80% fetch the NPC/ item on the same map and repeat.
When it comes to questing ESO wins hands down IMO.

The other content is long dungeons with reused machanics that you will have to do hundreds of times , two simple primals that you will also have to farm over and over and a new 8 man raid that was cleared within the hour of being released.

No mmo is perfect. They all have their downfalls and ESO was trying to be a little different and still be a mmo, but in this market the people want everything to be just like WoW was/is.

Now on XIV we have cash shops and 100s of useless minions and dozens of mounts ( 5 or 6 are just different colored horses..) XIV has player housing but who really cares? People hang out in the towns where its quick to turn in seals for gear not in their house.

ESO needs things - bug fixes, text chat, content. But ESO is not a bad mmo by any means.

    Again, sensing a common theme:

Those playing Levels 1-50 really seem to be enjoying themselves.

I'm playing veteran ranks as well as non veteran ranks, have been here since beta and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Still do! Play regularly with my wife and some friends and love the world, the quests and the system. Could it be improved? Of course. Is it being improved, yes it is. Are the problems and challenges in the game making the game not fun? Heck no!

I would have done many things differently then the way Zos went with it, but in the end its a fun game, very immersive, incredibly beautiful, plenty challenging, great characters with fascinating story lines, and still, after many, many hours of game play, very exciting to play.

What is best is that ESO is getting better and better as the dev's have time to improve things. I can't wait for Imperial City, Orsinium and the Dark Brotherhood!
