What was your most ridiculous death in eso?

After my succes in your first death thread, let's start another one.

My most ridiculous death was in a large pvp battle or more like in the aftermath of it.
I'm a pve tank but i enjoy pvp enjoy a lot in this game. One night i and a bunch of blues tried to defend fort ash against a pvp guild with their aoe and purge spamming zerg. We got pushed back to that imperial gate in front of ash while the zerg was destroying every single blue.
Somehow i survived their onslaught since they didn't aim and only used steel tornado, impulse and such.

They moved on to ash while i remained on the wall while being in stealth. Suddenly some underleveled yellow without guild tabard appeared behind me, used wrecking blow and i forgot to block since i didn't expected any yellow. It barely did damage ( tank here ) but somehow i got insane fall damage ( it felt 3 meter down only ) which oneshooted me.

I survived the fury of pvp guild but got killed by gravity (again).

Falling off cliffs. It's like I'm so dumb as to learn from the first 1000 times I do it, but no, I keep on sprinting right off the edge. The game has a weird effect in FoV where the other side looks as level as my side, so I don't anticipate a death-causing gap between them.

The funniest death actually happened today. After cleaning up a few senche tigers and wasps which decided to gang up on me 8 to 1 (and who doesn't love kiting so many enemies just to turn and fight them all off), I get ambushed by a Skeever.

HAHA. It still cracks me up.

When I used the wayshrine to travel to Serpent's Grotto and after I arrived the game re-adjusted me 100m into the air... after which fall I was dead as a dead thing lying in the snow. Dead.

On the topic of the game's physics killing..

I was doing Chorrol quests in Cyrodiil when it was quiet late at night, I was sprinting on my mount while using the assault speed boost skill at the same time, you know basically flying across the landscape. I tried to jump as I came to the divet in the ground that later becomes the lava chasm going through Chorrol, but instead of clearing the other side of the small jump, I hit the top of the little ditch and the physics of the game sent me flying sideways because of how fast I was going, about 100 feet to the right, straight into the lava where I couldn't escape.

I couldn't believe how wonky it felt to fly that far SIDEWAYS when I didn't clear my jump.

I landed on the edge of a rock once in Rivenspire and was launched forward and too fall damage into the side of a building. Wish this happened post-decathlon but it was in like....1.2?

Fall off a large cliff which took 99% of my health while walking around a lowbie zone trying to take a short cut and I was like... cool I made it and but I had aggro-ed a Skeeve that killed me.

A V14 getting killed by a L25 rat!

But the funniest kill, was on a trials run and we had no deaths and everyone got on their horse to get to the second to last boss fast and I clicked retreating maneuver by mistake which increase the Mounted Speed by 40% of the whole raid and half of them run off the cliff due to the speed change. A max speed horse is hard to turn on a narrow bridge when you have your speed increased by another 40%

Half the guild still things I did that on purpose

Jumping off the bridge in Elden Root Vet Run and falling ontop of 20 mobs. Killed my entire group as they jumped also and had like 1/4 health. Was funny as hell

I joined a Elden Root Vet Run as a replacement, as someone who went LD on the second to last boss, so I was running to them, but they had also jumped over the side and not done a full clear..... I did not know that and ran the long way and brought a lot of 'friends' with me when I got to them. Due to lag, I did not even notice the mobs until I meet them at the second to last boss.

Someone popped rapid manuvers while running on an bridge in an AA speed run. Almost the whole group ran off the bridge. Fun stuff.

Edit: Looks like it may have been Natjur lol.

Ha I remeber when that was a thing. I would dodge roll up any incline I could find. I had it happen to me once recently on a rock in the HR entrance area. Hard to repeat though.

Most ridiculous death that was outside of my control was when I was using the fire pit in the Daggerfall market. I suddenly got DCed and when I logged back in I was somehow over by the lighthouse falling from the sky to my death.

Most ridiculous death that was totally all me was in Vaults of Madness. Was my first time there and I didn't know the layout of the place. Went down a hallway that dead ends into a sheer drop and without thinking I jumped in merry as you please. I learned the hard way it's not the way your supposed to go...

Same here. This was particularly a problem after Update 6 when the sudden leap forward by horses from a standing stop turned into suicide leaps on a few occasions.

However, just recently I jumped down to a ledge and it would have been less dramatic if I had not missed the ledge.

Speaking of. I thought the Vampire quest scaled with your level like the Werewolf quest, I was level 16. I must of died 11-12 times before completing it. Why does the WW quest scale and not the Vamp? Right off the bat people learn WW is cooler lol

Once while playing a low level alt. I got onto some trouble, hit my ultimate and found out I don't have an ultimate

But every time I die, I remind myself of my first MMO where at one point if my character died he was gone forever lol

riding my mount up a tiny hill near chalmen keep farm and being flung back 300 miles and die to 45k fall damage.

A close 2nd though was a random loadscreen in stormhaven then when it was done I was flying through the air to the ground at a rapid pace and died of fall damage again.
