I'm having a tough time choosing which to play. I want to play a class that charges in wearing heavy armor and can sustain through a lot of damage while doing a lot of damage. Both seem like good options but which is better at it?

Mos-De-Atmo✭✭✭Hmm, probably Dragonknight, they have a lot of defense with things like Reflective Scales and Green Dragon Blood. Plus Ferocious Leap is a good Ultimate that lets you fly / leap in to the combat which is pretty cool. Agreed. DK for dragonleaping nubz down from bridges/high walls

Anlaemar✭✭✭A lot goes into making that kind of decision. Is this for PvE or PvP? Stamina or Magicka build? Role you look to play? From a PvE perspective...
Dragonknights can make great tanks (which is all I can really give advice on) and they can be pretty good DPS.
Templars can do anything. Tank, DPS, and Heal. I have guildies that do alittle bit of two of those roles. Main healing but still pull 12k+ single target DPS. I say Templars are more well rounded.
