Werewolf bite bug

Has anyone else lost there ability to bite other players? On one of my WW characters I have taken the Berserker line and have the skill to bite others. I currently have no cool down from previous bites. Ever since taking WW Berserker I cannot bite others. I have stood in front of a player and watched another player bite them when I could not.

Has anyone else encountered this bug? I have not been able to bite for weeks now.

    The person to be bitten needs to stand directly in front of the skull at the shrine. Then you stand next to them or behind should be fine. Move around until when you have your cursor on them and you get the Devour X ability pop up on your screen. The system is really picky about placement of the victim, so they might need to move around a little bit. But they must be directly in front of the skull, and have them face the skull. Took me a bit to get a friend of mine in the write position so I could bite him. I do have the Berserker Morph.

    The best way to bite someone: spam "X" when you transform into werewolf form. This way you will bite someone instantly after you transform, without any "experiments". At least it worked for me and some of my friends.

    Problem with that is that you might bite someone who is already infected. I read a post where someone did that and lost their bite for 7 days and the person they were supposed to bit was not the one bitten.

    Thank you for the responses, but this is a bug. I have bitten other before taking the Berserker line and have another Werewolf character who has no issues biting other players. IN short I know the mechanic very well. It is simply not happening any more on one of my characters.

    Oh, ok. then yes, it is a bug. I was not doubting you, just did not know you had other WW toons that did work. I would definitely bug it.

    My lovely werewolf padawans....you have much to learn.

    Best way to fix that bug is to take few steps in the water behind the altar (ie swim for just a second, no need for longer) and then get back to the altar and X will work perfectly. This fix is well tested million times since early access and it always works.

    You may thank me later, i will also not shy away from few gold coins either.

    Not sure about any gold coins, but I could bring you a nice, plump rabbit?

    I will test this, however, there is scarce water in the hills at the east of The Rift (this is a Ebonheart Pact character).

    Yup this worked. Exiting the immediate area of the shrine (so your countdown starts) and re-entering again can fix this. Thanks for the tip.

    @AleriSadasIndoril and I have been trying for two days now and I still haven't gotten infected, but my active effects have been spammed with 50+ Devour buffs.
    We have tried different times of the day (tamriel time) and he have exited the area and returned but didn't work.
    We also tried standing different places without luck.

    I am having a problem passing my furriness along, and am wondering if this has to do with the Devour passive? Only one of my wolves has the passive, and she is the one having the problem. I am going to test this now. Will report back.

    if you transform near the shine and cannot bite, run 20-30 steps away, then return - x will appear and you will be able to bite.

    Yeah, I ran into this today. Another guild member also tried to bite them... same thing, "Target is Immune." Anyone know what's going on here?

    It's not a bug, just a restriction that prevents a WW from using his devour synergy when its timer is full.

    Since your timer is full when you transform near the shrine it prevents you from using your Devour synergy on a player since your timer is full and you haven't removed the restriction yet preventing you from devouring the target.

    There is a realy easy fix for that, you take a couple of steps back from the Shrine to decrease your timer a bit and you will be able to devour the target when you get back near of it.

    Mine says "Bit an Ally" and my cool down is down to 5 days. The problem I have is I haven't bitten anyone!!! I've only been to the shrine once on that character since I became infected. (To show a friend where it was) Stood around and watched him get bit by a random, then immediately rode back to Riften to finish my crafting writs. Anyone else had this happen?
