Weighted trait Bow

I've recently created a Bow with a weighted trait on. But honestly can't seem to notice any difference. On a standard bow if you press and hold the trigger then release it does more damage then quick fireing. But I with this weighted trait I was half expecting that you could fire slightly quicker to get same effect. But it doesn't seem the case. Does anyone my friend who has it on his greatsword doesn't even notice a difference. Does anyone know if there is a bug on the weighted trait?

Did you check description of weighted trait?

Usually it gives you an extra speed increase that is about 1-5%? I dont recall correct values. So even if its 5% speed increase and a heavy attack takes 3 seconds, the increase in speed will be make heavy attack speed be 2 seconds and 75/100 seconds. Weighted gives you 150 mili seconds of attack speed.

So just like you mentioned, even if it works, its not to be noticed with single attack. You would have to make tests with doing from 10 to 50 attacks one after another during set timeframe. Like starting a timer to count down from 120 seconds down and during that constantly heavy attack something. Without single break. After that check from some kind of damage log addon how many attacks did you do.

After that repeat it with weighted trait.

You will then notice difference or maybe discover that nothing changed.

It's got an 8% increase. Think I'll stick to precise and sharpened.

Weighted only increases the speed of light attacks, not heavy attacks sadly.

I admit, I tested it with lightnign staff only, where heavy attacks definately don't benefit from weighted.
The reason was, because ZoS increased the cast time of heavy attacks by 50% O.o and I wanted my fast heavy attacks back, didn't work though.

Can't imagine bow is any different. If yes, then it's either bugged on bows or bugged on staves

I'm guessing by heavy arracks on bow I'm assuming we mean pressin the trigger till it pulls the string all the way back then releasing. and quick attacks being a quick flick of the trigger button?

My assumption was with weighted attached. The Quick flick would do slightly more damage.

Precise and Sharpened are much better for a Bow. I would lean towards Precise on the bow as there are passive that help with damage on stunned mobs which critical attacks can do.

    Pretty much.

Now, on the PC, all actions trigger on the release of the key or mouse button, not the press. So that may be the case on the consoles too. Reason, you have to have some way to charge a heavy attack and holding the trigger/key/button is the way to do that.

Now, there is animation canceling where you start to charge the heavy attack, but you release the button before it's fully charged and fire a skill immediately. I tried to do it the limited time I played on the PS4 and could not make it work, so it might not be as easy. How long you charge the heavy attack all depends and you just need to practice it.

And, finally, there are Light Attacks, partially charged Heavy Attacks and Heavy Attacks. They do damage in the order stated and how long you hold the charge, outside of animation canceling, determines what kind of attack you get. The partially charged attacks used to give more than light, but less than Heavy, but I have not seen any recent testing to determine if this is the same as it used to be. I vaguely remember some patch notes that said something about partially charged attacks.
