Changes we can ask for whe PTS comes around.

So as we all know update 7 is coming which means PTS will be here soon which is our time to summit feedback on changes that we like and don't like. (No not talking about v16 or stamina regen when blocking.)

So as we all know there are some skills that are "better" so to speak than others in AvA that are starting to become a problem and then there are some skills that need some love. Well PTS is our chance to make sure ZoS knows this and takes the proper action of making changes to the skills. Below will be some of my personal opinions on skills that need some love some working and some just needs a straight up turn with the nerf gun.

Heavy armor. We all know it's a tankers go to armor for PvE but PvP it's still lacking very much cause unlike light or medium armor the bonuses to health heavy offers doesn't really help when in PvP the damage is so much greater than survivability and the 50% less damage isn't gonna be doing much. So some changes I think can help heavy in PvP is a way to make it health scales off something like less stamina to block or more spell and armor res with more health. Also they need to bring back heavy armors old break free reduction cost passive it had before update 6 I have no idea why ZoS took it out to begin with. Also and this applies to all armor types. Make it so you need to wear atleast 5 pieces of armor to use the armor skill and bump back heavy armors skill immoveable back to it's original state of full CC and stun immunity for the entire length of the skill instead of 5 seconds. That way if you want full CC and stun imunity you have to be commited to heavy armor not just wearing 1 piece or no pieces at all.

2 Handed skills need some rework. Such as rally it's a nice skill but most players are using it just for the healing and damage boost and I personally think it needs re worked so it only works on the 2H weapon you have equiped and immeatly stops when you switch to your second weapon set. Cleave and its morphs need some love. I think maybe boost the bleed damage it does and boost brawlers damage shield by a little bit and maybe change carves ultimate gain from 1.5 to every 1 second. Wrecking blow just needs a straight up turn with the nerf gun. There have been pleanty of times when I seen this be the only 2H skill players use it's just straight up broken and needs a nerf.

And those are just some ideas of mine off the top of my head of what needs love fixed and nerfed and when PTS comes around I'll be summiting my opinion in. If you have ideas on what can be fixed loved or nerf post something and don't be saying bolt escape and stamina regen those are for another thread. Skills like silver leash or circle of protection or twin slash.

    For me, I would like to see my friends' icons on my compass so i could figure out where they went without pulling up my map.

    That and be able to have different icons over group members heads. party leader has a crown, and everyone else has a V

    It would be nice to see different icons, and have them appear on the compass

    I only use heavy armor and I think that it's fine as-is. The upcoming 50% damage reduction change in Cyrodiil is going to be hilarious. My build is already hard enough to kill as it is.

    Point taken the 50% will help HA more but as I said they need to do something that will scale with health cause right now why bother with pooling your attribute points into health when stamina and magicka offers much better results. Like it makes logic if HA scales and does something with health when MA scales and does stuff with stamina and same with LA and magicka. Just saying my 2 cents cause as I said it's perfectly fine for PvE but when comes to PvP it's lacking in the PvP part. Like it's not really HA that's the problem just the health bonuses and health ingeneral. But I do stand next to bring back old immoveable but needing atleast 5 pieces of armor to use it along with its old passive of reduced break free cost. Would help in PvE too in say the EH vet pledge with that shade fearing you.

    This old MMO, Ragnarok Online, would have a 1 to 1 defence scaling with your health attribute. Basically when you 20 points into "vitality" you would get 20 points of flat defense. So when any physical attack hits you, 20 points of damage are negated.

    Armor in that game works like armor in this game, negating a percentage of damage. But the percentage was calculated before the flat mitigation so all the tanks with 99vit in low-mid level areas are gettimg hit for 1 damage and all the low levels are getting hit anywhere from 50 to 200 damage (dying in 8 hits).

    @NotSo ant that's a problem as tank shouldn't be dying in 8 or less hits especialy when there wearing heavy armor. I thought a way they can maybe boost say the reason for having health points and maybe heavy armor use for PvP too is there's a passive in HA that boost armor and spell res by like 2600 (thats maxed with full set all 7). So maybe somethign ZoS could do is boost that number by X% per point into health. but again like most armor passive you must be wearing atleast 5 pieces of said armor to use it that way if some one wants it they have to be comitted to the armor and vise versa if they bring back it's old passive of reduced break free cost but maybe be at maxed and all 7 pieces a 10% reduce cost and X% more per health point spent into health.

    no point no matter what we find on the pts our feedback is never acted upon and the patch goes live with all the bugs and imbalances highlighted still in it.

    I would like to see bleeds finally be addressed. I was surprised there was no mention of it during the combat coverage during ESO Live. It's been one of many major conflicting problems with DOTs and DOT builds that has yet to be properly addressed. Everything else that concerns me seems to be getting addressed so I won't pass judgement until the patch notes appear.

    Not only is the damage over time no where close to the dps of just spamming an ability with good base damage , but bleeds also suffer from various mechanical counters. A large portion of monster types are flat out immune to them in PVE. In PVP bleeds can be purged, stripped with damage shields, only tick once on an already applied damage shield, and reduced by blocking. Axes are also in a terrible spot right now since the bleed that triggers off them requires you to literally stop dpsing if you want the bleed to tick. Dual wielding axes means 100% bleed procs but these procs only trigger after 1 second of not attacking. Therefore if you are actually doing your job as a dps you'll never reap the actual benefit. It's a sad state of affairs to be honest.

    I don't see why people have such a big issue with wrecking blow, it's easy to block/dodge, and it has a charge up delay which makes it obvious it's going to be used.

    I don't see why people have such a big issue with wrecking blow, it's easy to block/dodge, and it has a charge up delay which makes it obvious it's going to be used.

    the problem is from a hidden player when you cant see the wind up say if your operating siege. I think its skilled play to sneak that close and pull it off others see the damage and cry nerf. usually the player doing it is a 1 shot type build who dies themselves shortly after.

    Well if someone managed to actually sneak you with it than fair enough, though i don't see why most people don't use detection pots or magelight if there afraid of a 1 hit, though if i do see a nb cloak i just hold block until they pop up again.

    But most skills do insane dmg with the sneak bonus.

    @exiledtyrant Yea that makes scense bleed damage does need something changed about it cause as I said in my originaly post about how cleave and it's morphs need some changes so players feel like there worth it.

    @leepalmer95 The problem with wrecking blow is not players getting one shot by stealth hit it's that for some players it's the only 2H skill they use and good reason is that once you get hit and knocked down by it they can do another hit or 2 with it almost killing you and they just continue doing it till you're either out of stamina so you can't break free or you're dead. So it's not that they one hit you with it it's that they just spam it over and over till you're out of resources and just die. WB needs a nerf other wise it's gonna be like snipe were all any one does is use that one skill over and over till they win hence why it is a i win button cause few hit drains your stamina from blocking dodge rolling and break free and once you get knocked up and fall down begins the combo of just using it over and over again while you're trying to get up cause while trying to get up gives them the opening to do 2 or even 3 hits on you. So again WB needs a nerf while other 2H skills need some buffs like cleave and rally needs to be changed to only work on the 2H when you have it equiped.
