anyone haveing probs with the "E" button, ie - selecting stuff?

over the last half hour the "E" button, ie - selecting an object, seems to have stopped working,

the only way i can get it to work is log out and back in again which then allows me to select an object, open a door etc but after a minute
or so it just seems to stop working again

i presume that its something in the patch i got this morning ?

anyone else getting this prob ?

edited to add - the "E" button prompt doesn't even show up

Try reloading the ui, you can do it by either typing /reloadui in the chat, or by disabling and subsequently enabling an addon to access the option in the addon menu.

cheers i'll give it a shot

unfortunately it seems to be a bit of a random bug

i just jumped in to test and and it seemed fine apart from about 30% of enemies didnt show up as a foe with no red glow around them - then they start attacking...........

not sure what's going on tbh.
edited to add - its almost like it loses focus and dos not know im looking at the object

but like i say i'll give the /reloadui and see how it go's

I've had this problem once some months ago. What I found out was that it was indeed caused by an outdated addon (who would have thought this really can happen?^^). So if you check your addon list, maybe you can find the culprit

well after updating my add-ons ive just been fore a dungeon delve and all seems good, or at least its been playing ball this last half hour

The unresponsive "E" also happens to me a lot in a few situations (not the same as above, just similar):

1. Unable to cast spells or interact with others, sometimes when mounted. Basically they never really fixed the underlying bug affecting some people when mounted, where you couldn't do stuff including dismount; they just patched the worst issue to always allow you to dismount. Anyway, the workaround is to dismount, then you can cast spells or interact with merchants etc as necessary.
2. Sometimes you have to try several times to be able to interact (press E, wait, press again, repeat until it works). This happens occasionally to me when trying to pickup writs from the board in Belkarth (craglorn); when trying to use a wayshrine to port; and when harvesting resources (especially at a survey map site). My game client obviously recognises the E key (it greys out), but somehow there is lag or a failure to communicate it through to the server.

Finally, there is also occasionally a glitch where you can lose all abilities to cast spells or target an enemy while in combat. You can fix this by using Esc/Esc or going into mail and pressing alt to return out. I don't know if there is a connection between this and the E bugs.

i certainty am affected by the above but i always thought that it was because i have six monitors attached to my rig (non sli/crossfire set up) and i use windowed full screen -so i thought it was the mouse moving out from the location of the game screen - because when i "esc" i have to drag my mouse from another screen to the one that im gaming on
