There is NO reason why it should go to ANYONE "within x distance" aka "nearby you". Please change this to ONLY go to "lowest health person IF they are in YOUR group"! I absolutely hate how this heals some random person on the battlefield!

At the same time, it is nice to be able to save a random player if you happen upon them with low health. I just wish that it wouldn't go to the same person if you cast it a second time, or that it would go to someone missing health rather than just someone with lower health normally.

And yet again, I also like to be able to spam it on myself when needed.

It heals your comrade in dire need of help, not some random person!

I used to hate casting my healing ward on someone else, but then I remembered when I was still new to this game, and I was like that person who took your healing ward.
Chances are they need it more than you, and while you may be frustrated, they greatly appreciate it, even if they don't personally thank you.

Been requesting this since the game was first released and people were arguing for this in beta too from what i've been told.

Probably never gonna happen.

I'd be happy if it simply worked as it's supposed to on the tooltip.

Not sure where the lowest-health-ally check takes place, but in my experience, it rarely goes where it should, self included.

I think it is ok as it is given that healing ward easily goes up to 25k (^4/+300%) and it is in fact the strongest defense ability. It is also an indicator, imo, an indicator about the skill of a healer (PvE/PvP) and it would become a problem, if we had too many skilled healers in PvP :-) Instead, they keep spamming gtae-heals.
A healing ward spamming healer is the dream of every (active) battle tank, not just DKs. Healing Ward is the secret of how "small groups" can make a difference in PvP. Fortunately, not everyone uses it to it's full extent. Otherwise, we would face much more cries for nurf.

My favorite is when you get nailed by some siege and spam it desperately trying to shield yourself and end up dying because you healed everyone else. Shouldn't the ability called ward ally.. ward allies?

Don't forget the heal will get a nerf in 2.1.
