The only place items don't stack automatically is the Guild Bank, so if this is not happening anywhere other than there, it's likely a bug (or it's two items which are not actually the same).

Yeah I remember seeing that before. It would be alleviated if bugs like the one above were fixed, but I do agree with the OP's suggestion of a Stack All button. If that's not possible (but I don't know why it wouldn't be), then maybe in the context menu where you have "Split Stack" you could also have a "Combine Stack" option.The only way to restack on consoles is to use your personal bank... and that is really clunky. On PC you can quick fix it by dragging 2 stacks together. There is a function that got missed in the translation to console.
