For all replies and comments, keep in mind I'm a console player and have the average amount of game experience that that entails.

Pre-TL:DR

Does Veteran rank affect being able to play on non-Veteran campaigns?

I've taken part in a guild made with the express purpose of attempting to assist all it's guild members with the acquiring of the "Emperor!" achievement. Recently, the leader of the guild brought up an issue related to veteran ranks and such.

I've only recently found out that once you hit Level 50 in the game you can only play Veteran rank PvP campaigns and some of our better players have already gone over that, now we have two options that we can chose from

1.) We all wait to hit Level 50 and then go into Veteran PvP campaigns to get Emperor
or
2.) We all just make new characters, get to Level 10, and then go for Emp.

While talking to a friend in-game about me wanting to get all the skyshards in Cyrodil before being forced into a veteran campaign where I'd presumably get beaten to death constantly, that same friend said being a Veteran didn't matter and he still plays in his non-veteran campaign.

So the question is, does Veteran rank affect being able to take part in non-Veteran campaigns?

you're friend more than likely leveled from 49 to vet 1 while still in the non vet campaign so he can stay there until he logs out when he logs in again he won't be able to go non vet again as he has passed the non vet limit.

so the answer is yes vet rank player can't play in non vet pvp unless they ranked from lvl 49 to vr1 while inside of the non vet campaign but as soon as he logs out he won't be able to get back in.
