Hey just wondering if theres any benefits to using crafting areas such as Hammerhome or Weeping Wamasu Falls as apposed to the commonly found ones in most major cities and towns? Thanks
The crafting stations in wilderness make gear sets with bonuses. You need to learn traits before you can use them.

This is correct. This way, you will be able to craft sets that have the set bonuses. Different crafting stations require different number of traits to have been researched on each item you want to make with the set bonuses

You can also craft normal stuff at the Crafting Stations that are out in the world.
But, Crafted Sets are the main reason to get into crafting and crafted sets can take you to end game, and beyond in some cases. Just start researching your traits. Learn two on each item you want to make, then the third etc. Just knowing 2 or 3 traits can let you make you some powerful gear. It does not matter what traits you know, just that you know enough of them for the various sets.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
