You misunderstand. The loyalty program was removed, but also replaced.
Rather than receiving loyalty pets based on your subscription, you instead get 1,500 crowns per month subscribed. to be spent on the crown store items of your choosing.
They often do exclusive items that are very limited, and high in price, such as the frostmare at the moment. for those who have saved their crowns from ESO plus could use them to purchase the frostmare.
Now of course the issue here is that the frostmare would require 2 months of ESO plus, and the game hasn't been out for 2 months for consoles yet.
but the idea applies. save your crowns from ESO plus, and spend them on the exclusive content you like.
They should've kept the loyalty program in place along with the benefits of having ESO Plus. It's like what Microsoft did with the Xbox One, there was a lot of hate on their policies at first but then there were a few good things; Bethesda/Zenimax got a lot of hate for charging to play online, so instead they did away with that and the loyalty program and to replace the loyalty program they occasionally add so way over priced crown store items. I don't see why developers/publishers can't go back to the good ol'days where we bought the FULL games and the stuff like they charge for now, are secret items that you actually have to work for to get. It's all about that money now instead of doing what they love for people that love the same thing.
Loyalty programs are a sign of good will, an incentive and a thank you for financing the game month by month instead of random and unpredictable purchases. They are a reward tor subscribing. As long as the subscription option exists - and it does on all platforms - there's a very good reason for continuing the loyalty program. The Loyalty Program was for the loyal PC playerbase who supported the game while it was still being improved and perfected.
It is nonsense to say it should be available to the console players.

While I agree with you that greed has taken over most of the gaming development industry. One thing you need to keep in mind is that back in the day, we paid for a game that had secret content and that was it. The games broke? Oh well. Now, think back to when ESO launched on pc. Do you really think that V1.0 was worthy of the money spent and that they shouldn't have done any more updates? You can't have it both ways. Like I said, I'm not arguing that greed is running rampant. It could even be argued that companies are releasing games in a *** state because they know they can go back and fix it. The one thing that I've not run into with any game is that we don't have to pay for updates. Back in the day, if a game was broke on release and they re-released a fixed version, guess who's sinking money into the game again? Return policy's for electronics were just as ridiculous back then as they are now, and back then, there wasn't much incentive to trade games at gamestop, because the "credit" you got back was miniscule. (Yes, for anyone who doesn't know, much worse then it is now.)

If your referring to ESO plus I (personally) wouldn't call that a subscription..
I mean yes, you Pay for it each month, you get bonuses etc. but it's completley optional.
If I don't pay my subscription to Australian Shooter, I don't get my magazine.
THAT is a subscription if you ask me.
I guess you might call ESO plus an "additional, optional service".. AOS maybe lol
But that also wouldn't be my interpretation of someone being loyal to ESO.

And it is continued! Now, you get crowns as a sign of good will and you can choose the reward you want YOURSELF!
So it has only improved
@Chaos0720 That is your opinion. My opinion is that I did add something constructive. It isn't even hard to see. I explained why they should not add loyalty to console players. Really not that hard to understand. Just because I don't agree does not mean I am not being constructive. The world would be a terrible place to live if that was the case. Maybe one day you will understand that.
Lol @ yourself mate. I did not say it was perfect. I said we stuck through while the game was improving.
I am not sure if you can see that, although it is not hard to understand.

Looks like we have an elitist pc gamer. What's nonsense is your opinion and the fact that you added nothing constructive to the conversation.
It's not our problem that PC players had to pay to play an open beta. Console games get that *** too, so you're not special. As @Rosveen said, if the option to subscribe is still a thing, then the incentive to do so should also be a thing. The subscription are lining their pockets with extra money. And before you argue: but it's for server maintenance and employee wages for the dlc.. Please stop. A) If it was for server maintenance then they never would have stopped the forced subscription or make it optional. I don't see anyone playing WoW for free... legitimately at least before a smart ass comes back with a way that they are.I find it laughable that the way they are handling dlc is: pay for the dlc, or pay for the subscription. It kind of makes me wonder how ridiculously priced it's going to be. Will we have to pay $60 for new dlc every 4 months to recoup the losses of not paying a subscription? I would hope not. So your second arguement, that it's for the dlc, would be even more ridiculous. I've already made my point, console gamers have no true incentive to join the loyalty program. I mean, unless they want to show loyalty, but I don't see much of that happening in these forums so.... yeah.

If I remember correctly, when they announced that they were ending the required subscription, they also said that players that have paid for the subscription up until that point were given crowns for each month they paid to play. So PC players get the loyalty items AND crowns AND don't have to pay to play anymore while the console players got their versions of ESO delayed so they couldn't possibly get those benefits but now don't also have to pay to play.
Which, btw, PC players should be thanking the console players for not having to pay to play anymore. We were already paying to play online so they axed the required subscriptions.
