OMG.. im so dumb HELP!

I can't for the life of my understand how crafting.. enchanting and blacksmithing works


So if someone can answer these... that would be very helpful to to a dumb noob like me.


1.) How do i add any enchants... to weapons or armors? Like crit damage, reduce stamina... increase weapon speed or any of that?


2.) How do i upgrade a lower level weapon to my current level? Like a lvl 30 bow to a lvl 40 bow?

Sorry.. i just don't get it... Anyone?

    Hang on, I'll find you where my sweetie does just that.

    But in the meantime: 1-enchanting armor is separate from crafting it

    and

    2- you can't (I really really wish you could).

He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Im still confused.. And im sorry for that.



    Im still trying to understand. I got lets say .. a Diamond.. or any other gem. How do i use that on a weapon or armor?

    Or traits.

    You see the research option? That is where you break down weapons you find, and from that you learn their 'traits'. When you learn the traits, you can then use the diamond, for example, to put that trait, you have now learned, into one of your own crafted items.

    Enchantments you have to either buy (from an enchanter) or make (from glyphs you find on runes). When you have one you want, you go to your weapon of armour (or jewelry) and press a button to give you options to use, destroy, enchant or charge. Go to enchant, then select the enchantment you want to put on it. Voila!

    When you go to the crafting bench, and click on it, you will see options to make a string of items (armor, weapons, staves, depending on what bench). There are a couple places where there will be "rows".

    One of them is which item (helm or pauldron or whatever). You can use the arrows to the side to choose.

    Another is what material you use (iron or steel, maple or oak, jute or kresh), the farther to the right, the more advanced, and if you only have 1 in the first passive of that craft (it will allow up to 9/9 and require skill points), you will only be able to choose one material.

    slightly related, there will be plus and minus signs, as within that material/rank, you can choose to make a slightly higher or lower level of item (starts at 1, next is 4, then goes up by even numbers).

    Then will be style stones (with only the ones you know/have read the motif book/are that race) highlighted,

    Then will be trait stones (with only the ones you have previously researched an exact item i.e. reinforced greaves) showing up. When you move the choice of item to make (up near the top) this will tend to change, as it takes LONG time to learn all traits on all items.

    If you know a trait, but don't have the stone on your person or in your bank, it won't be an option (might be red?)

    If you know a style, but don't have the stone on your person or in your bank, it won't be an option either.

    At the bench, you have access to everything on your character or in your bank. Not on your other characters. This is why deciding what to keep where is important.

    to add to newtmpls' post,
    for enchantments (not traits), after you make the item, go to it in inventory and choose y. then enchant, and if you have a glyph that works for that type of item, it will be available to enchant the item with.
