With the announcement of adding two additional veteran ranks there's been a lot of community feedback.
The responses vary and I'd like to suggest a crafting improvement that would at least make the situation a bit better for some of the nay-sayers.
One of the leading arguments is the fact that veteran ranks has been previously discussed to be removed by the representatives yet they are adding two more, meaning people get upset for not understanding the reason for the increment.
A problem that comes to mind is the fact that a lot of the items will no longer be considered as highest level, which is a common thing in these types of games whenever a expansion releases, however I for one was hoping that the character progression was solely based on Champion Points and not Veteran Ranks after the 1.6 update.
What I suggest is quite simple:
- A feature that allows crafters to upgrade existing items using materials
This could be implemented in different ways, for instance:
- Only allow craftable items to be upgraded
- Allow all items to be upgraded
- ...
This would unfortunately leave out jewelry since we have no profession for creating these in the first place.
Having such a feature would also allow more variation when it comes to existing sets that don't exist in higher veteran ranks, plus it would mean that we don't have to farm the exact same items again with the exact same traits e.g Master Weapons.
This feature wouldn't become obsolete with the removal of veteran ranks either since you'd still be able to upgrade a level 10 sword into level 11 for instance.
The question is:
Would you like to see a feature which allows you to upgrade existing items level status?
