Oceanic server please?

So hi.

I'll just get straight to the point. I'm in Australia and the reason for this thread is clearly because I'd like to request an Oceanic server for all the Oceanic players that bought this game that's being sold in the Oceanic region. I really don't understand why even in 2015 it's still a common practice for the devs of a online game to talk about the advancements of their server tech to "provide a fair and level playing field for all players" while always still having groups that are ignored.

I don't have a single fair playing field when i try to participate in the campaign, all my opponents have a ping advantage.

And even in PvE, it's a nightmare, lag all around and it's impossible to block or interrupt as by the time i can react, the NPC has already finished doing their charged or special ability on me, and to top it off, i hear they are nerfing stamina regen while blocking due to PvP yet will also affect PvE.

It's a shame too, because i honestly really do like this game and can see myself playing it for a loooong time. (Afterall, i have played Destiny for forever since launch untill ESO released on console, and this game has much more to offer) but because of no server, i find it very hard to justify spending any money at all further on this game, i've already decided not to renew my subscription after the first month, the reasoning being, because for as much as i am enjoying this game immensely, i see two possible reasons that concern me, either i'll get fed up with the laggy servers due to not actually getting a localised oceanic server, or it does happen and i'd have wasted so much money on a different server and effectively lost it, so the sooner an Oceanic server comes too, the sooner i'll be investing more money to help support and sustain this game.

I would have made this topic sooner but i never got my invitation code originally and i actually contacted support directly to make this request originally, i was told forums were the best way, etc.

Not going to happen. Doubt there would be enough players at this end of the world to justify setting up a server.
If they did, servers would need to set up all over the globe for a multitude of regions.
Lag affects lots of players from all around the globe in pvp as the topic has been raised numerous times.
Play out of New Zealand & rarely encounter lag in pve. Even when playing pvp after release last year, lag was not an issue at that time. Might well be different now.
fact is, even with a Oceania server, there are always going to be people with better ping rates.

Well of course, when you make it Oce player vs Europe or Europe player vs NA player etcwhere if it was a game of "first to pull the trigger instawins" then yeah, someone will always have a better ping that makes a difference. It's 2015, there's no excuse for US companies to think they are the only country in the world, Runescape has been able to provide servers since early 2000, of all MMO's, ridiculed as much as it is, it knows how to provide and has no issue getting players.

and the line "i doubt there are enough players" is such a cheap cop out.

I play gw2 as well. Guess what? Two megaservers just like this game. NA & EU. Spent months playing world vs world (their version of pvp in this game). Game lagged from time to time because of dds attacks & of course large zergs/blob battles made the game exceptionally laggy at times. Could still compete with players from different parts of the world.

As for the line about not enough players. Might be factual. Did you consider there may not be enough players from Oceania to fill a campaign?

I had assumed GW2 was a PC only game, so vs console lagging during large battles isn't much of a counter point. PC's can outperform a console any day.

And i suppose you have all the data you need for this conclusion? A complete census of exactly how many players from where, and how often they intend to play?

Either way, I'm voicing my desire for a local server for a game sold in my region. I still notice the ping delays, and it's bothersome. Also, in the current servers i've seen campaigns that are not filled.
