kireth's amazing plan bugged?

I'm at the part where you have to find an orb in the sacks. theres a about 5 of us who have relogged 10 times over trying to find the orb in the limited number of sacks available. I'm pretty sure it's just bugged at this point.

Quite possible. The "find Kirieth's Key" objective is bugged (the key spot is actually outside of the blue area), the ending dialogue is bugged (Kiriteth just vanished and Raynor talked to himself for a good 3 minutes). The "choice" is bugged too. (you're supposed to talk to each one before making a choice, but since only Raynor is available, well, I guess we're going with his plan.)

I think finding the orb is the only part of this quest that did work correctly for me.

Yeah I had this issue where she disappeared and I was just running around aimlessly for a while, then I logged out and she was back, but then she got stuck somewhere and stopped moving, so I relogged again and it seemed to work. If anyone is having trouble with this, relogging and making sure she's following you and doesn't wander off or get stuck somewhere will allow the quest to finish.

thanks @ZOS_PierreL‌ I did submit a /bug but I'm afraid it's not this coherent after running around Mzulft(solo!) for almost a 15 mins looking for the key.

Yes, this quest cannot be finished. Kireth just does nothing. I have killed every critter five or six times. I have escorted Kireth over every foot of the dungeon and he never finds anything. THis quest cannot be finished as it is. And I opened a bug ticket too.

Hey there folks,

There are a few points throughout the dungeon where Kireth should stop and begin digging. He has a speech prompt that should let you know that an area for digging is nearby. Please note that Kireth will cower while you are in combat, so make sure you explore the dungeon closely after the enemies have been cleared. If you continue to experience the same issue, please let us know and we'll be happy to look into this further with you.

I've been trying to beat this quest all week. It is really irritating. She just runs around and she doesn't do it she doesn't say anything or she runs away and start all over again.

I cannot get Kireth to dig as well. I rarely look at walk throughs, but I had to to see if I did something wrong. Nothing. She just doesn't do anything. I am on the PS4.

This quest is still bugged!!
Kireth disapeared while looking for the key

EDIT: If you leave the dungeon and go back in again, Kireth will come back.
EDIT II : Kireth came back but wouldn't dig to find the key!!

Upon entering the final area, I found myself stuck into the ceiling (!). I used the /stuck command, then returned to the dungeon, only to discover that Kireth was stuck into the ceiling, too!!!!
I cannot complete the quest.

This one is still "Bugged" , I'm on PS4, have done this before on my main , but now, we can't find the key, she won't dig !!
I left the area & came back, I've tried log out/in , I switched characters & came back . . nothing.
Any help / advice is appreciated, thx !

EDIT :: After doing all that, I abandoned the Quest, then logged out/in again, then went to her again, now it worked.
NOTE: it's NOT in the same place, she dug 3 times, then found it .. Hope this helps . . Cheers.

Leaving this here for anyone still having probs with this as it seems to be prone to losing Kireth.

If you lose Kireth, go back out to where you found her and ditch/retake the quest. (Recycling round the tunnels if she auto-reappears doesn't seem to work, she just goes into follow and cower mode.)
Once in the ice-tunnels with Kireth in tow, keep to the edges of the tunnels and she should suddenly tell you to wait while she digs something up. (Probably at least 2 digs. First if going anticlockwise round tunnels -as I always seem to do- is at clump of cave plants after 1st small cave with one centurion and one spider, 2nd after first steam pipe and spider swarm.)
In the tunnels it'll probably just be glass shards and more questions that she finds.
In the first large open area with centurions and spiders so long as you keep to the edge she'll find the key she needs to open the vault. (Whenever I've found it. Investigate the nooks and crannies with lurking spiders and mecha-orbs.)
Then go to the area with the sacks and the sacks should all be interactable with a marker on each, not just the odd one and no markers on any. One of these contains an intact orb.
When you find this orb, Kireth's brother should appear reporting he's repaired the elevator and the pair will discuss whether they shoud fill the orb with lore about soul gems or the locations of all Dwemer ruins. They eventually ask you to decide. Once you do so, the quest competes. Big anticlimax.

Necro alert! Four year-old topic!

After all these years, this quest is STILL bugged. My wife has been unable to complete this quest for years. After every update she tries again in the hope that ZOS has fixed it.

So she's in Mzulft now. Kireth vanished once, so she relogged and got Kireth to follow her. But Kireth still won't dig. It's the same old story.

ZOS, any chance that this bugged quest can be fixed?

I see the issues of Mzulft was mentioned back in 2014. I see Zos paid us lip service. Still in 2018 we can't get the gem we can't dig up that key. Nice. What is the value of someone that actually knows computer programming?
