Game Crashed After hitting play after new patch.

Since the installation of the new patch when I hit play the game crashes before it can get to login or character select screen. I was playing fine yesterday/

    go to lancher, click on the settings gear in the middle, and try verifing game files. maybe something got corrupted during download.

    The game is broken I can not play anymore since the new patch along with many others, this is ridiculous and I have not seen an official response.

    If you haven't already, we recommend trying the steps listed by @starlizard70ub17_ESO to ensure your game files are not corrupted.

    If that doesn't help, we have another suggestion that tends to be a common culprit. From the error message, it appears you're running on Windows version 6.2.9200, which is standard Windows 8 as opposed to Windows 8.1. Our recommendation is to ensure that you're running on the most recent version of Windows so you can receive up-to-date drivers. Windows 8.1 is a free upgrade, and you can grab it by using the steps in this Microsoft KB:
