Siege weapon not firing

I have a random drop trebuchet in my inventory. I've deployed it in multiple locations and it lights up green like it wants to fire but when I hit the button it only resets to red and starts the reload over again. Any ideas what is going on with that? I was able to fire other peoples siege weapons without issue.

all seiges dont last forever do they? im pretty sure there is only a certain amount of ammo per seige.

Oh, maybe, to be honest I'm not sure. It didn't work from the very first setup though.

I've experienced this numerous times on the PC the aiming reticule is there but the weapon just will not fire.

Wait until you encounter lag fights when you drop a siege weapon and it bugs out i.e. you cannot even click on the weapon it's just bugged.

Even more annoying when your fighting a huge zerg who use lagging out the server to their advantage, so you cannot even drop siege for defense.

PC NA Azura the past few nights with a certain EP guild maybe? I've lost thousands of gold and AP on siege I could drop and not use and just stood there and watch it crumble.

What platform are you on? I've noticed that on Xbox the "cold fire" or whatever they're called don't show the firing animation. You get these types of siege from doing the Dolmens in Cyrodiil. However, they do actually do damage. I tested it on a wall and it did fire and do damage, but the animation just doesn't show very well. Hopefully they fix it, but I'd rather them work on other fixes first.

No, siege decays while it's out, whether it's being used or just sitting there unmanned. Siege also doesn't have limited ammo, since they no longer last forever.

I'm on the Xbox and that is where I got the Treb, so that is likely the issue. Thank you dlepi24. Good to know it still does damage.

I had one treb from my PC time and it didnt shoot, bought new siege weapon and it worked perfectly.
