Skill points and crafting.

I wanted to be able to craft high quality items in light, medium and heavy armour, but it seems as though I won't have enough skill points to do this. Could someone please explain to me how many skill points you have at your disposal for crafting, considering you need to spend other points on combat and whatnot? Would it be better to focus on one craft per character, or partner up with a crafting buddy?

Thanks in advance.

You can use something like this to calculate how many skill points you will need

    http://www.esohead.com/calculator/skills

You should pick your main armor type first as that uses the most pieces, then you can buy weapons until you get the skill points to become proficient in that line. However, you can become proficient in one Equipment craft and one consumable craft (or proficient enough in a weapon line) before making VR ranks and be deadly at the same time, or at least a character that is fun to play.

Once in the VR Ranks, then you will have enough skill points to start fleshing out all the crafting lines.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

on my main I have 291 skill points, 19 unused for the moment

and I have all crafting on it.

This will soon change though, since im almost done researching everything, and I will have even more unused skill points to use for like ww and/or ledgermen skill lines
