Mount Switch not Working

So, I have two mounts: cheap horse and inventory horse. When I swap to the inventory horse, it doesnt change my inventory, and only the stats of the old horse remain. Is this a technical error (as usually seems to be the case) or am I missing something? I play on xbox one. Thanks in advance for your help.

The stats are global, not individual for the horses.0 -
Grimnaur✭✭✭If you bought one of the more expensive mounts from the stable thinking it would have higher stats, they changed that. Now you level up your riding stats on each character, instead of each mount. Now, if you buy the more expensive stable mounts, it's just for the different skins.“Laugh whenever you can. Then why would they not change the text? Or at least *** mention that they're pure cosmetic? I've never had so many screw overs doing anything in my entire life man... I'm out.. this is ridiculous.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭It appears the only 'screw over' is your lack of research. There have been numerous posts here in the forums on the change to mounts as it was implemented MONTHS AGO. Shaloran✭✭Idc dude.. think what you will. We JUST started playing on xbox.... They shouldnt make it appear beneficial to purchase the more expensive mount. If it was only me, sure I'd say yeah my bad, but it's happening to alot.
How is a change going to occur a month after launch smart ass? Ishouldnt have to research when I'm mislead by the game. Would a cautionary "This is purely a cosmetic upgrade" been hard? Instead it tells you nothing and expects you to have been following the PC game you don't even own? You have no arguement....

✭The mounts used to have different stats. This changed when they totally revamped the mount system for the crown store (which happened well before the console release), so that all mounts are now cosmetic, and the "stats" are attached to the characters, not the mounts.
True, they didn't actually change the text on the stables where you buy the mounts. I agree, they should have. Why didn't they? Who knows. ZOS laziness, etc.
