All in all not the worst idea, but I think the damage has already been done.
I didn't think of that point, but I'm sure it could be re-given somehow, buyable from Cadwell? collection? If unlocked a full crafting station for completing both, maybe not really necessary?

It's true that this idea comes a bit late (sorry, I didn't have it earlier^^). But yes, the set bonus should definitely be worth it to go for it, imo. Also, like what you said, the players who have done Silver/Gold but got rid of these items should get a replacement, of course. After this, it's up to us to use them or not. Of course there are or might be better items to get elsewhere in the game, but f.e. solo players won't see many of them, if any at all. This would be at least one chance to have 1 nice set of jewelry

If it could be purchased from Cadwell you'd only need 1 character which has completed the quest line to actually gear up your account, which feels a little bit counterproductive in terms of making the equipment appealing. Collections are more costumes sort of thing. The idea was for jewellery, currently there is no jewellery crafting option. I think the 'best' thing to do would just give players who have completed the quest lines the equipment back, though not sure how that would work.Moonshadow66 wrote: »The_Sadist wrote: »I'm quite indifferent, unless the set bonus is remotely useful it will still be vendor trash. Eh, no need to apologise, I was simply stating that this should have been something implemented from the get go. What sort of bonuses were you thinking? Would there be variations of the equipment for Stamina and Magicka builds? Outside of master weapons the solo player can currently get the best gear as well, trials gear is no longer really worthwhile which sucks, but eh.

Well that's awesome, since Moonshadow is having some issues in game towards sending feedback atm. It's nice to know someone sees
I have to say that I really like these ideas. The rewards for completing Silver and Gold do not match the amount of effort put into them.
New gear and craftable sets would be fantastic ideas to implement.
Great ideas, OP!

@Bromburak I don't know, in another game I might agree, but there are A LOT of people here that are in for the "immersion" and story, or maybe they are just really loud....but I don't think they would be totally abandoned.

I agree but after a Vet level drop do you really think a questchain through all zones at max level is reasonable?
What makes you certain that this will not be re desigend after the Vet drop?
I am just saying, I don't believe that Zeni will invest any effort into this because it doesnt make any sense from their perspective.

After the vet drop they will need a means to get the players to complete the two other factions. I doubt that aspect is going to go away.
If they were to implement a new crafting station though I hope that it is a 0 trait crafting station. Otherwise you will have people complaining about that.

It would be nice if completing a quest was valuable to your progression. Giving you long term key items, set items, unlock skills or unlock craftable items. As-is the quest are boring as the rewards are simply xp and something you will immediately junk. All of my alt don't do any side quest. They are mind numbing after a short time, even if they are nice stories.

Quest rewards are uniformly awful in TESO, starting at level one and continuing right through Cadwell's quests. I don't believe any of my characters have ever equipped one. The lack of responses from players may indicate our understanding that it's a design decision.
It's a terrible design decision, but it's too consistent to be anything else.

I think all quest reward items should be leveldynamic, meaning that they level with you. Not just scaled when you pick them up, but they continously scale as you level. When I'm VR14, I think my Prismatic Weapon from the Fighter Guild quest line should be VR14 as well, even if I picked it up at level 45.
