Only 28% get the trophy 'chasing shadows'

I'm only level 19 and unlocked the trophy for completing that quest just now... and looked with it only being 28% unlocked. I play the game maybe an hour or two a day tops, seems like a lot more than 28% should have unlocked that by now. Seems like a lot of people bought the game, but not a lot are playing if that trophy is that low.

It's part of the story... what are you talking about? You don't have to go out of your way to get this. Not everyone does every quest? It's a main story, that's why it's a trophy.... what do people do? Wander around?

Again, not everyone even bothers with quests. You can get to VR14 and do all endgame content without ever stepping foot inside of the Harborage or any storyline quests.

How on Earth would you get to that and the endgame content without doing quests? What would they be doing? Crafting? Wandering around and fighting monsters? PvP?

Quests are not essential to reaching max level and endgame content. I can easily grind a brand new level 3 toon to VR1 in less than 2 days and do zero quests. Endgame content consists of PvP and Trials in Craglorn, neither of which require any questing to have access to. As soon as you hit VR1 you have access to Craglorn. You can grind mobs there and other places until you hit VR14.

so you would pvp until you ht level vr1? Don't you think most people, who haven't played, more than 28% would be doing quests that my level 19 just did? I do. Otherwise it seems like they designed a CoD with swords if no one is going through the story... 72% of people that is.

Again, I shouldn't have to explain this to you, but not everyone plays ESO for the quests, storyline, or lore. Some people just want to get to max level as soon as possible and either PvP or do endgame trials and dungeons.

That's one of the best things about ESO, you don't have to play a certain way in order to enjoy the game.

Dude, you literally respond to EVERY single post I make, and I have never seen one that is constructive or without sarcasm.
Am I bragging? I'm questioning the game that I just started playing in trying to figure out how people play it... Sorry some of you assume that I think I'm the best because I completed a quest and now am asking why it's only at 28% completion.
I'm amazed at my interaction online with people... /ignore.

    Chasing Shadows, Main Quest line
Takes place in a unique location for each alliance.
Perhaps the game divides it into three different quests (because they would all have separate objective locations) but still tallies the completion percent from the overall playerbase. The missing % could be made up of characters in other alliances that will never be able to encounter that version of the quest.

That is my speculation, not really compelled to look further into what is really going on with the mechanics.

The real reason is that 72% of players are PC transfers and have already completed that quest while playing PC .. achievements don't transfer.

Thanks! A constructive response among the immature/attention seekers. I feel like I'm in a forum where people take their frustrations in real life out in these forums. Anyone who has decent social skills in real life, I doubt come here to dedicate their lives to internet forums in trying to get a rise out of people they don't know...

Assuming OP is on ps4, I think the point he was trying to make is that he believes the completion rate is surprisingly low considering the level of the quest. Keeping in mind he's on console, I understand where he is coming form. Since this is an elder scrolls game, I'd be really surprised if a majority of players with no pc background are just grinding mobs until v14.

That being said, I held off on all main story quests until I hit level 45. I haven't even started the fighter or mage guild's quests and I still have to do all the dungeons on normal(which is going to be a female dog since group finder only queues me for vet dungeons now). So there is a large possibility that players are simply exploring the world and not teleporting to the starting area every 5 levels.

Exactly, I'm trying to figure out how people play this game. All I'm doing is going through the quests, I am not some hard core elder scrolls person, I play this game 2 hours in a day, max... that's all I have time for. I don't have time to dedicate to responding to people all day in a sarcastic tone.
These forums are a huge turnoff... I seriously have blocked those people. Maybe I'm not used to how people online don't know how to interact with people, since I don't chat with people online, I communicate in real life, face to face... but these interactions are weird. No one speaks like this, to anyone, in person... it's like who they really wanna be in real life comes out. Why on Earth would you waste your time responding to people you don't know, all the time on the forums? I can't even comprehend that.

Not only that, but because they will scale up to your level (including the scaling of the rewards), it's not uncommon for people to wait to complete the main story quests so that they can do them at a higher level. So just because that particular quest is available at level 15 that doesn't mean people will do it at level 15 or shortly after. I know my 2 non-vet characters on my main account have stopped doing the main quests and the guild quests, and won't do any more of them until they've completed everything in their last alliance zone.
