Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

After playing ESO for 3 weeks on PS4, I have to say that this game is awesome.

First off, stability was fixed immediately and has lead to regular weeknight game play and weekend marathon sessions.

Next, this weekend I started my 3rd character and doing the starting areas for all 3 factions. The storylines for all three were very fun and the scenario is beautiful to play in.

I got to do some pvp on my level 20 Nightblade with one of guilds and that was definitely BIGTIME fun. Grouping up, and riding off and into battle with at least 50 others to lay siege on a castle wall while repelling attackers and then knocking down a wall to invade and rout their defenses to take control of the keep was wicked awesome fun. Then they attacked and we had to defend, and defend we did. We drove them off and hunted the stragglers down. Pvp was alot of fun and I'm looking forward to doing much much more.

I also used the group finder and ran some dungeons. That too is alot of fun and farming for loot and possible getting a set out of it is something I'm going to be trying to do in each area.

Then I found out that there are so many quests to do that I have quickly learned that my preconceived notion of doing all the quests in an area before pushing on is wrong. I have got my choice of many quest lines to do before I move on.

I can spend many hours farming mats and looking for recipies....... and they are out there. I got a Blue salad recipe out of an urn in a public dungeon.

I haven't even done fishing yet, and I definitely need to do that.

I haven't even done any selling with my guild store to sell some stacks of mats.

I know that there are quite a few things I haven't done yet that are there for me to do.

I have to say that ESO is just awesome.

Please, do not change a thing ZOS. Other than opening other areas and adding VR ranks, do not change the way this game is.

It is so much fun.

Keep up the great work and thank you.

I got the game on the ps4 release date. I was able to play that night, but unable to log in every night for the rest of the 1st week. Last week, I skipped the gym on Wednesday so I could get some more play time in, but was unable to play while the update installed that night. But I have enjoyed the little bit that I have been able to play while the developer's incompetence wasn't preventing me from getting my money's worth.

I couldn't agree more! Xbox One user here, and I never tried ESO on PC since it came out last year mostly because I don't have any sort of machine capable of modern PC gaming. However, I was always a pretty big Elder Scrolls fan. Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim are some of my all-time favorite games. I was fairly worried that I wouldn't enjoy the MMO aspects of this game because it's definitely an acquired taste (I played Lord of the Rings Online for a while before the microtransactions for every quest pack in the game finally sent me to the Grey Havens.)

Anyways, similar to you, after three weeks I really enjoy this game! The MMO approach works absolutely great with Elder Scrolls in my opinion. It's such a blast to explore so much of Tamriel; that's definitely one of my favorite aspects of the game. I really enjoy uncovering all the locations and delving the dungeons. Blacksmithing and provisioning are quite addicting too (haven't really tried the other crafts just yet.) I'm up to level 38 with my Khajiit in Aldmeri Dominion as of now, and I just started a new Daggerfall Imperial character.

It's kind of funny, my wife just bought me Batman Arkham Knight for our one year wedding anniversary, and I played it for about an hour before I went back to Tamriel. After playing a game like this, other games start to seem so... limited to me. I look forward to the future of this game with great enthusiasm!

    Gotta agree mate.
I only got it last week but with the sleep that I've been forgetting to have it probably about 3 weeks worth or typical gaming.

In case that wasn't clear I get a new game and (obviously) play it a fair bit. Maybe 2-4 hours a day.
Since I got ESO I've been beasting the hell outta it.
Pulled an all nighters the other day.... Well.. The other night which I haven't done in a good 10-15 years (I found out why when I could barely even communicate the next day lol)
I've been getting completely and utterly lost in this game and even when I say "right. I'll ONLY do this that and the other then I'm turning it off" I just can't.
I'm much MUCH more used to games where you finish a level then move onto the next one so you've got plenty of points where you can easily stop.
EOS just flows from one thing to the next and I find that I've been playing for hours on end without even realising it.
In my mind that's the sign of an awesome game... As well as a bad one lol. Catch 22 anyone?
    This is my signature.
    Original. Right ;p!

You hit the nail on the head. I don't know precisely how it stacks up to "normal" MMOs, but coming from Destiny it sure feels like a lot more content. I love not replaying the same old news over and over and over and over and over again. I too have set off to do something simple like collect jute or whatever, and ended up returning back three hours later after doing a couple quests and discovering several new locations. Things flow so well that it just feels natural to help out this poor NPC sap and figure out why his town is sick. Sure, the story isn't as deep as some quests in the single-player ES games, but that's to be expected. Is there really that much of a lack of content compared to established MMOs when you consider the first release of those MMOs? I'd expect WoW and its brethren to have 10x the content when they've been around 10x as long. Who says it needs to have as much content as hardcore PC MMOs? I don't want to sell my soul to get to the end game.

I haven't even done dungeons or PvP yet, and I'm already sleep deprived. So much to do; so little time. This game is a blast even at low levels IMHO. Good job to the devs.

I also love this game I play on the xbox one with a friend of mine and I am having a great time I started at least 3 sorcerers as I learned more of the game and realized what i was doing wrong. I farm and quest and just run around the world and for now it's just a lot of fun. I have yet to do PVP as it's not really my thing but I plan to give it a go soon.

Been playing for a few days on PS4. The learning curve is steeper than most console games but within a few hours I felt like I knew most of the important basics (I have watched a lot of YouTube videos, done my own research, and it doesn't hurt that the game doesn't stray too much from TES formula). I love TES games and had this one on my radar, but I honestly didn't get my hopes up too high. But ZoS came through with a great console version of this game! Now, at only level 6, I'm really excited about playing more. I hope to play this one for months to come.

That is a poor attitude, there, especially when you ought to know that servicing your every gameplay need requires this thing called money, and there are plenty of console gamers who would never give them money if they only released on PC. I also see all kinds of crown-related gear on people, so it's not just the $60 game a good chunk of people are buying.

Half of the complaints I've seen are about things that this game is "missing" that other games have, or that the distinction between classes/class roles is not as large as it is in other games.

There are also very good common-sense and constructive arguments for positive changes to the game. It is easy to think they are just ignoring the community, but what do we know of how easy/possible it is to change things? Plenty of complainers are justified, but even more are just whining about something that beat them once so they rule it as unfair or OP. This is not new to any competitive game I've ever played.

    - No player housing.
    - No text chat. Wow.
    - Can't see character names.

EVERY other console MMO has all of these.

Go play a REAL MMO, like FFXIV or DCUO, then you'll see how bad ESO is. Its laughable.

Zenimax had almost 2 years AFTER the PC release to get the console version right and they didn't. WTF??

The FFXIV expansion just came out and any real MMO player is playing that.

    RIP ESO.

Right now, I do a lot of farming and fishing because it is just fun to be out in the world running around. I just love the scenery and just running around the world collecting various materials is just the sort of mindless game play I need in an otherwise busy life. I am leveling a couple of PS4 characters as I do this, taking whatever odd quests that come along.

Yes, I think that this qualifies as an amazing game, and I actively play on both PC and PS4.

Game is amazing. It is almost everything I expected the game to be.

That being said, it isn't flawless; there are some glaring issues on console that could be resolved and stability/performance can always be improved.

But I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love ESO; which is one reason why I personally feel the need to voice my opinion on these issues I see. If I didn't love playing ESO, I'd just move on and not say anything.

I`m glad the new players are enjoying the game. I`ve been playing MMO`s since 1999 and EQ , a lot of the things most of us have issues with we told them about back on the PTS beta back in Nov/Dec 2013 thru to launch April 2015, and sadly most are still there .

Hopefully your exp will be better on PS4 /Xbox etc.

I wish I wouldn't have rushed it. I went hard for three weeks and am vr14 (cp 54) with 941/1k (indomitable adventurer) quests done.

I still find interesting things to do, I love running around finding things I haven't done yet, messing with skills and testing them to see how much stronger they can make me, messing with weapon combinations, helping others through dungeons by standing outside them in the zone, and more.

There's still a lot of things to do. I like finding places and things I haven't done by checking out achievements. I also started a few other classes just to test them out and get used to their strengths/weaknesses and skills so I can equalize with them better in groups.

So much to do, but I'm wondering how long that will last. If I had held back on endless playing a bit, I think I could've stretched out enjoyment. I come from a more end-game being loot-based grinding that I didn't expect the sudden halt/difficulty curve.

I have to agree, this game is pretty great!

I had played on PC when it launched and played hard for a good 5 months or so. Even though I was really enjoying ESO I quit playing because of lag and FPS issues.

I picked up the game again on PS4 when it launched and hoped for a better experience and I'm not dissapointed at all. It runs almost flawslessly for me on PS4 and I am again really enjoying ESO. Didn't bother transferring my vet from PC, just started fresh and It's been great! It's such an interresting and beautiful game!

The PvP is awesome when you don't have to deal with the lag and FPS issues I was having on PC. Lol

The only thing that bothers me is the whole no text chat thing. Gimme the chat box d*mm*t!!! Give it!!! >:)

Oh come on, now. The PC game today is no worse than the PC game before console launch. Yes, console development delayed content development for a little while. But it's not like they abandoned the PC version. There have been several updates to the PC version since the console version launched, and you're going to be getting the same content as the console versions.
