GUILD BANK POLICIES?

chaotic4me2
What do people do or think of a guild member who throws 3k in guild bank and then proceeds to clear out EVERY Green Blue and Purple in the bank including SET pieces that were being saved for set bonuses for people who were searching for them? especially when guild has a guild donation policy in place where people are supposed to be donating to guild bank for guild store and other things as needed for guild in general..
What would you do or change with regards to an obviously selfish player?

They probably have another guild they are moving the stuff over to.

Nothing much you can do besides kick them from the guild. It's always sad there are scum people like that protected behind the wall of the internet that allows them to abuse other peoples kindness. You could also have a recruit rank allowing people to deposit into the bank but not withdraw. Establish a policy requiring them to be a member in the guild for several weeks before being promoted to a member rank allowing them to withdraw from the guild bank. That helps a lot with stopping short timers looting the bank then running off.

"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

That is why my (personal) guild has a policy that the Guild Bank is for Hiring Guild Traders ONLY.
There is no depositing of items allowed, only Gold...if you deposit something you might as well just consider it deleted/destroyed, because our Quartermaster will just put it in the Guild Store and use the gold from it towards Trader Fees.
I mean, people get five guilds...let them "ninja-loot" the Guild Banks of the other four...not happening in Mine...I don't need this kind of
    "drama".

As stated above, create ranks for members and only give banking privileges to those who are of high enough rank.

Then, only promote those you can trust into the Rank that has access to the bank.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Improper justification on their part. 3k does not add up to those that you listed.

I only "trust" people that live close enough to me that I can go to their house and *pound* them if I have to.

All of the people in the guild I GM live close enough to me that I can do this - and I'm usually having beers with them once a week or so anyway. So naturally, with that guild I have no problem with giving everyone full access to the guild bank.

For other guilds, like the most active one I'm in that I would consider my main guild (that's right, the guild I GM isn't the guild I would consider my main guild), it would be fantastic if there were some tools that would allow you to give different degrees of access to the guild bank to different people. But it all boils down to: don't give permissions to somebody you don't know well enough to trust that they won't screw the guild over. And even then, there's a chance that it could happen anyway.

Neverwinter used to be my MMO of choice, before the P2W got a little crazy, and one thing I really liked from there is that the guildmaster could tier tier guild bank, both by sections and by amounts. So the higher rank you were, the wider range of and greater quantity of items you could withdrawn, so a low level guild member might just have access to a section filled with potions and helpful quest items, and a higher level member could withdrawn only a couple of items a day from a different section filled with rare armor and weapons. The guild I was in even had a section that only the guildmaster and officers could access, filled with really expensive items for prizes.

Person had been a member since about day 5 of the game release figured they were trustworthy they help a bit ran a bit annoying but otherwise seemed decent now here is what pisses me off the most about it tho

I looked in guild store and he is SELLING some of the items he took from guild bank to other guild members.. WTF

I do agree more controls need to be put in game for bank
as in allow potions / consumables to be set as only being allowed access to not gear / runes / rare items
