Regular books vs Lore books??

Are the books you read from book shelves that you cannot keep also the same books as the Lore books that you keep and can come back and read later?

I like reading the lore, but sometimes I'm doing other things or getting attacked by an NPC that spawns in the middle of reading a book from a shelf.

    Nope, they aren't the same. Good news is, once you finish the mages guild questline, you gain access to everything you've ever read ...

    The Mage Guild story line is actually quite entertaining .. you wont regret it
