Yeah it is really beautiful. I loved the look from the start. Sadly I heard, that you need 4 players for all of the quest. And so I didn't bother with the zone till I was VR14. Later I realised, that it is not the case for the most part of the zone. For the storyline you need just for the last part four people and this just for a short situation. I was really angry, that I rushed the zone, because I thought, I have to make the most of the time my friends have for questing with me in craglon. After I looked again in the zone by my own, I loved it even more:)

    Enjoy it Gulug!

    its not
quests have to be done in groups, and every member in the group has to be in the same phase of the quest, so many players cant do them since its a pain to find people in the same phase
furthermore its just a grindplace, untill the nerfed xp into the ground
most delves u can solo if u have a good build (since its next to impossible to find people for it, even on pc, imagine what it will be like on console xd), but dont know if thats still possible after ultimate gain nerfs

so dunno if theres still anything going on on that map
overall, mayor playerbase was seriously dissapointed with the execution of craglorn

It is well done aesthetically. Wait till you get to Upper Crag, some of those open air delves are just gorgeous.

It looks really good. It is a pain to complete (need 4 players) and a disappointment (hard to find 4 people willing to do the quests which grant basically no rewards...). This makes it hard to enjoy the zone.

Yeah, woe betide you if you haven't got 2-3 other people prepared to quest with you for long periods (in other words, a guild), otherwise you will have people leaving, people refusing to group with you for anything but grinding, not knowing what's going on in the story because you had to skip through part of the quests to be at the same stage, or worst of all, being at the wrong quest stage and fighting mobs and stuff for nothing

I think the thing that puts everyone at cross purposes is that it's a VR 11 zone and by that time nobody wants to do quest zones any more, they just want to get up to VR 14 and max out their character. It will probably get a lot better when they axe veteran ranks and people can wander straight in from doing the 1-50 zones. I mean I hope that's how it'll work

it's not impossible to do the craglorn quests with randoms but you really do want a decent sized guild

The game design and Sound is pur awesome in this game.
I like the Sound of a screeming Soul and burning flesh when my Soul Assault kills a enemy Player.
I like the Sound of the Meteor crushing through the atmosphere.
I like the Sound of the stonefist hitting a enemy.

Beauty but a big waste of time, mostly can be done solo but some quest really needs 4 ppl to activate "something", hard to find ppl for the quest and the quest takes hours but the reward is minimal (around 3k xp), u can get same amount of xp just killing few mobs in gold / silver, the mobs xp have been nerfed to ground so not even grind in the open areas is good. Craglorn is just a place to go to collect some crafting nodes in the upper area if u need nirncrux otherwise better go to other zones.

Probably because it was changed too late, after everyone had given up on it. Pity, really, because the quests are well designed. However, the design choice of making the only substantial expansion to the game be a forced group zone was dubious, I think. Soloing Craglorn is difficult for most players, even for the things that can technically be done wihtout a group.

It's really great and I LOVE it! You would need to have a small group though. od not need a perfect set up like for Dungeoning, but you may need someone capable of semi tanking, and one semi healing. Once you are a bit higher level, you can trio or duo some of the content.
You have a story line to enjoy, several "repetable chain quest" in various locations, and a lot of delves and Dungeon that are all instancied and set up for a non hardcore group of 4 players!
You also have the Trials, and DragonStar Arena.

Lot of players have complained about Craglorn forcing them to be in a group, but I'm one of those that find the concept great and super fun! Content is usually set up for solo players and is extremly easy once you are more than one player. In Craglorn it feel delicious to be forced to be in a group, and to have some players that need heals, for example while doing "simple" quest or simple mobs killing.

You also have all the best crafting materials and for gathering Craglorn is a wonderfull place.

Lastely, Craglorn is absolutely stunningly gorgeous!

Every Tuesday from 21h to 00h CET or 3pm-6pm EST, I'm streaming CRAGLORN LOVE on my TwichTV to show off how absolutely awesome this zone is and how much fun we can have.

If you take your time to actually experience the quests then it´s really a blast. Even better if you have a group of 4 with same intentions.

The phasing thing with the quests mentioned above is a thing of the past. At one point of a quest you need 4 people to activate a portal, but even there you can ask some randoms to just come and help open it as it is located open air really really near to Belkarth (the lake)

I finally broke down and got together with a group and did the first few quest. They are very well done.

The big beef is the ways they stop you from completing them single player. Not based on skill but based on needing other folks to continue (standing on stuff and such).

Not a fan of it being forced but they are pretty fun in a group.

I always wished craglorn was a neutral zone for all three alliances, would be easier to find groups for those quests. Many of them reset daily as well. Belkarth would be bumpin.

It is by FAR the best part of the game. Craglorn is not only beautiful (the whole game is), but the main quest line is well done, and the all the repeatable delve missions (basically every mission in the zone but the main quest line) are a smart idea. It may be a little tricky to find other strangers willing to join you, but if you're in any way social through the 1 to 50 levels you'll have made some good friends by then, and likely joined a guild, and you can work through the zone together.

From memory there are two places in the zone that require four people to activate various locks or similar to progress in mission main mission, but the rest is able to be done as a trio or similar depending upon individual skill level.

The positives for Craglorn significantly outweigh any negatives, and I sincerely hope Zenimax continue with a similar blueprint for zones in the future.

Keep trying, though sometimes the best thing is not to try at all but just let it happen naturally. You'll find some like-minded players.

You can do a whole lot of it solo.

In fact it is a good idea to go into Craglorn thinking of it as a challenging solo area, and using a strong regen/tank/attrition build.

I soloed all the lower delves and all but 2 of the upper delves on my Templar with a "healing tank" build, and have soloed much of the story lines as well including the first quest line that brings you there (Star Gazers or something).

It's doubtful I will ever put in the effort to get enough people together to finish all the zone but it is a nice area.

Its great. Many people when find out you need to group for everything there (because almost every single quest tells you to go to some dungeon) assume craglorn = no quests.

I was suprised when i started doing crag quests and i just shouted once on zone "looking for members for crag quests". People were whispering me from all over zone. It took just one person, me to make a group, not just wait till some group finds me.

Craglorn have two types of quests. Daily, when you pick it up, it says "repeatable" in journal. And there are 'storyline' quests, those cant be repeated.

For dailies, everyone can do them every day, you can share it with anyone in group.
For storyline its a bit more complicated.

There is first quest that takes you to craglorn, then there are 3 or 4 quest that can be done parallel to each other. At this point its easy to do with randoms, because you can do one quest, do other with someone else, and then find other group.

Then comes a "main quest" which is unlocked only if you complete previous 3/4 quests. This is hardest part to find a group, because you need to find someone who has this quest, and you cant share it with someone who did it already or didnt finish previous quests. If i would draw how it looks its like below: few quests that can be done in random order, then they concentrate and unlock main quest, then they split into group of quests and go back to single quest again. At the end of this storyline you get a chest with nirnhoned item for research (or resale if you already have that trait researched)

    ______Q___\..................../___Q___\
    ______Q_________MQ_________Q_________MQ___
    ______Q___/....................\___Q___/

Its good to have UESP wiki open, its really good to track quests (check location, questgiver name, concurrent quests and prequesite quest)
