I started playing ESO when came to consoles, so i'm still very new to a lot of things, but i have managed to level a character to VR1 pretty smoothly/quickly over the last few weeks. I love Cyrodiil but tried to stay away from it and focus on questing so i could hit VR ranks as quick as possible because i found them (the high VR's at least) to be very dominant and i wanted to be in the same shoes as them. Once i hit VR1 i realized you lose the ability to opt for the battle level boost that levels 1-49 receive. Im VR1 NB with 15k health and 15k stamina whereas all the low levels have 28k health and all the high VR have upwards of that as well, sure im doing a bit more damage than i was in the lower levels, but Im doing nothing compared to that of higher VR's, i was doing so much better in the late level 40's because i had much better survivability than after hitting VR1. If i get hit by 1 siege weapon i instantly die. Doing the dailies has gotten way harder because my health was cut down by 10k. etc.

Not to mention i faced a rude and unpleasant awakening as to how the VR's work and that its outrageously more difficult to level up once you achieve them. The thought of questing through the other two factions (after taking close two weeks to get through one) just to get to the point where i can be the dominant PvP force i had in mind is depressing and crushing. I wish i would have sat at level 45 and just done a crap load of pvp to at least get the AP gear for VR1, which is incredibly expensive.

I just went on a bit of rant there, but i've been frustrated by this since i leveled up to VR1. Its just my opinion, but i think that the lower VR's should at least have the OPTION to use battle level if they want to.

Just my opinion, not a notch against the game by any means. Besides the difficulties and confusions of the Veteran ranks I still very much enjoy this game.
