Provisioning 1-50 fastest way?

I'm currently at provisioning level 2, I have a crafting writ that I can't complete because I don't have the recipe, and I have no idea where to go when hunting for specific ingredients.

I need someone to tell me the fastest way to get to level 50 in provisioning. Please add detail, don't just say "crafting writs" and leave it at that. I need to know the best way of getting the recipes and ingredients I need.

For recipe farming, which house is best for this in the Ebonheart Pact? I heard if I search the house, then go outside and log out, when I log back in again all the containers will restock and I can search the house again. I just need to know of any good houses or groups of houses for this.

For ingredient hunting, which places can I find white meat and garlic?

I'd also appreciate it if you didn't just link me to a 20 minute long youtube video, I'd prefer this in text form so I can go through it at my own pace.

Doing provisioning writs is an excellent way to get recipes and ingredients, but I wouldn't say it's an efficient way to actually level provisioning. The best way to quickly level provisioning is just to craft as much as you can of the highest level food or drink you have a recipe for.

As far as getting ingredients goes, I'd say your best bet is to collect them from delves - just loot every single container you find in the delve (especially backpacks, as backpacks are an excellent source of recipes). You can exit the delve when you've gone through it, go back in and all of the containers should be reset. This is better than looting houses because it's not considered stealing, so you don't run the risk of getting a bounty or having all of your stolen ingredients confiscated by the guards.

If you're concerned about the combat involved in collecting ingredients from delves, just go to a very low level one so that you can faceroll everyone. For EP I'd suggest Hosin's Folly and Orkey's Hollow (both are found on Bleakrock Isle - the first starter zone).

How's your financial situation? You don't need a lot of recipes, the fastest way is learning one recipe for each Provisioning tier at the highest available level. Then just make it a ton of that food/drink until you reach the next tier. So you could just buy the recipes and ingredients if money isn't an issue. I don't know what the prices are on consoles though. If you can't afford it, then you'll have to farm the ingredients yourself.

If you want to level while questing, then what I did (I was maxed out by level 40) was I looted every container when I was questing, and when I would go back to town I would go straight to a cooking fire and make everything I could. Not only is it great for levelling provisioning, but you also get a good amount of gold, especially when you get the perks that give you 2/3/4 foods/drinks per recipe.

With a good stock of ingredients and different tiers of recipes, you can go from 0-50 in an hour in provisioning. You will also need 5-6 skill points. Best is recipes to make level 15, 25, 35, 45 foods or drinks. As soon as you hit a level point (10, 20, 30, 40) add a skill point and do the next level up recipe. I've done this with a few characters this week. It helps tremendously using the add-on Multi-Craft if you are on PC.

If you're far enough along, containers in Coldharbor are all non-stealing. It's a good place to get ingredients and the occasional recipe.

What good news! I just need to finish collecting the skyshards in The Rift, then I'll be on my way there.

Just frustrating as I still need to wait another two hours for the maintenance to finish.

Any particular areas within Coldharbour you'd recommend for farming ingredients?

EDIT: Wait, maintenance is already done!? Okay. Skyshards, here I come!
