Is this quest broken?
I talk to groundskeeper or whomever when arrive in the hollow city. I saved other two people for quest and I've looked up that Vanus is in the black forge. But. The east side town gate is locked and I can't go around on the outside so is this important quest broken and I'm f*cked right now as far as quest? Or am I missing something? I don't think I am because I have no quest markers anywhere and ones I find are side quest. So if anyone knows please help.

The game won't give you a quest marker until you stumble upon Vanus, he'll be due east of the city along the road that runs east-west leading to the Black Forge ... iirc, he'll be near the bridge over the water that's just west of the lava pool on the map.
If you can't get on the east side of the map yet (door is locked), then you haven't saved King Lalorian Dynar on the west side of the map. Head due west out of the city and there should be a quest giver on the other side of that first bridge out of the city. Follow that quest line until you save him, then you'll be able to access the east side of the map (alternately, you could teleport to a friend/guildmate who's already there, but you'll still need to save King Dynar to advance the story).1 -
NocturnalGuideMe✭✭✭@Kujeaux Thanks. stumbled onto him before i read you reply but i appreciate the response. figured noone would see this on a one year old post. For some reason i thought they said Vanus was to the north so i was panicking.
but now im stuck cuz im not strong enough to beat the final battle to break the Shackle lol
oh well. i just keep comin' back for more!
