Poor times to do maintance.
This really is a joke. Who in their right mind thinks of it's 4:30(where everyone finishes work and school) to bring out and update. Elderscrolls are you trying to get us all to stop playing your game? It's heading that way... Then 5 hours, bloody hell pay me half and I'll do it in an hour... Let's behonest it's going to be longer than 5 hours as you never meet your targets..... Then people that are already on get to keep playing??? I was on and got booted out and then bam maintance... Think you need to put your corporate heads together and sort yourselves out.

Tbh though they could have done the maintenance earlier or later, peak time is a horrible time to decide to do it2

Thanks for replying, this game frustrates me with there always something not working. Writing this has helped (Y) btw I work 80 odd hrs a week and I like to kick back and play EOS for a few hours is that so wrong :L guess Netflix it is then :L0

Noomfy-Mop✭✭I find that I'm downloading updates or can't get on due to maintenance more than I've actually played.
Though I'm not complaining as when I DO get on I find it hard to put the controller down.
Actually there's been more than a few times when the end of my session has been dictated by my controller dying. BOTH my controllers dying.

Not on console - in a ZOS post a few days ago, they said that for "technical reasons" they had to do them at the same time. I don't know how they managed to do that, given that they are so separate you can't copy your character between them...
So yeah, they are doing todays update during US daytime. Which means European Evening. Which, even on the European Server, appeared as a notification on console in US Time...
It really is not that hard to localise time on consoles... <sigh>PS4 - EU

If they don't do maintenance oh boy you would be first to complain when the game freezes on you, kicks you out every five minutes and so on and so on.
EOSTU is an online game...maintenance comes as part of the package.
Relax, have coffee or juice or something....let the cat out. Take a shower. Talk to another human being. Its easy once you get used to it.
Meantime, have a good one.

15 people to allow millions to play... Yes to your question... Motorway maintance do majority of work at night, so it's off peak time and doesn't affect majority... They will have all the coding ready so it's just upload time and initialising.0 -

- Make a grocery run
- Walk the dog
- Watch TV recordings you've saved up until now
- Play another video game (there are lots out there)
- Pray, read your religious book, or whatever your preference in that area
