Why can't we use XB1 credit to buy ESO+?

Pretty simple question, why aren't we able to use the money already on our accounts to pay for 1 month of ESO+ instead of putting in card info, just to cancel the renewal afterwards?

I don't know if ZOS has said anything about the issue, but I definitely think this should be a payment option. People are willing to give you money, just give us other options...

Its possible that needing the card info is an xbox thing not a ZOS problem. I'm on the ps4 and when I got ESO+ I was able to use my account credit from PSN cards and I wasn't asked for credit card info. It gives me the option to extend for additional 14.99 instead of offering automatic renewal. Try asking xbox support about it.

I think it's something ZOS are working on with Microsoft, probably based on the fact that ESO Plus is a recurring payment at its base level and there may not be enough Xbox Credit to have a recurring payment from. Since it's possible with PSN, it may just be a matter of time before it's possible on Xbox as well.

On Xbox in general, no subscriptions can be setup using an account credit but can be setup using a real debit card with a visa logo, mc logo credit cards or PayPal

Yeah that's what I thought. So I'm assuming the discussions between ZOS and Microsoft are along the lines of offering a non-recurring ESO Plus, like PSN are doing.
