I can understand that real money trade or sales would be banned. But why do they need to validate in game item trades on the forums. They don't validate every in game trade that takes place off the forums.

How is open trading on the forum any different then open trading in area chat in the game? Logically one would think even without their validation forum trading would be a lot safer and more reliable then random in game trading.

Sorry to double post, can't edit from this crap phone. But most people posting a trading thread is a honest person believing the other player willing to trade with them is also honest. After a friendly convo where you "become friends" for ten minutes which is easy even if just to scam. You become comfortable with them and then a....
"Crap bro, that item is on my other took. Here just give that item to this took and ill hop over and meet you here. Moving items from mules is a drag and I'd rather bypass it."

Yes easy to spot a scanner from hindsight,but after you become friends and comfortable with them, as a honest person it can be easy to believe someone good at manipulation. Also, some new players are not that game savvy or just gullible.

Because they would get spammed with basic goods that can be found effortlessly by anyone with a pinch of patience (what console users seems to lack - hence all those topics on forums about wanting everything right here and now)
