Pressing 'A' to play and nothing happens

I'm having an issue getting into the game. I'm pressing the A button but then nothing happens all I can see is the logo with the mist in the background. Terribly frustrating. Someone help!

I've found a workaround for Xbox one that's worked for me. When the loading screen freezes after pressing 'A' hold the White Xbox button until 'turn console off' or 'turn controller off' appear. This should then cause the loading screen to continue to the character selection screen. Hope this helps and this issue is fixed soon

I load my game up then when it says press A to start, I press A then the game just makes a buzzing noise and then just closes down. I am on Xbox one and only started doing it today after about a week of playing if anyone knows why my game just crashes then proceeds to restart please let me know. I have also tried hard restarting my Xbox and everything.

Happens to be a lot, I usually fix it by restarting my Xbox.

I wish the game just loaded into the character selection screen instead of "press A to start" and then to a "play" button

I've had my Xbox off for nearly 2 hours with all wires unplugged and it's still not working

Just uninstalled it, currently reinstalling, should be about another 17-20 hours to download 55.5gb of Eso

Well there's some maintenance due today so let's hope that it fixes this issue aswell...just wish the game would stop having so many issues that we have to work around.
