Imperial or Adventurer - Your opinions

I've been thinking about getting either the Imperial Upgrade or Adventurer pack in the crown store. And before I do I was just wondering what your thoughts were on both bundles.

For the Adventurer Pack I really do like the idea of playing any race in any faction. But the Imperial Race does seem to have many benefits. So basically it comes down to, do you think the Imperial Race is a better get over the any faction option.

PS
I already have 2 mounts so the mount in the Imperial Upgrade doesn't really matter

I have the collectors edition from launch, so I have both already except the useless pots.

I prefer being any race, I don't use imperial at all, and you can't trade any gear you convert so it's useless.

By the way, the Explorer's Pack says you can be any race in any faction. Not true. It doesn't give you access to the Imperial race.

Just to let someone know that might be looking at purchasing it that it doesn't give access to every race, in case that's what they were thinking, so they don't waste their money.

I know, I didn't intend to say that you were being misleading. I meant that the description for the Explorer's Pack is misleading if someone didn't know otherwise.

If you make your armor crafter an Imperial you have access to that motif which essentially negates needing to purchase the motif for whatever huge cost it goes for nowadays. So that is one perk, as for the explorer pack I bought mine at launch so I have both the imperial edition and explorer (that's what it was called before I believe) The maps are kinda nice once you hit vet levels if you can't be bothered to craft armor (using them in pre-vet is a waste of time as you level too fast for the items to be of much use) but beyond that they mostly just take up space.

As for which to go for, that is completely dependent on what is most important to you, you can save yourself some gold if you want to be able to craft imperial gear but on the other hand being any of the other races in any alliance is also quite nice. To date I've only made one imperial but I've used the "any race, any alliance" feature almost every time I've created a character.

Thanks for the info guys. Decided on going with the Adventurer pack and probably get the imperial later on down the road once i've saved up some crowns.

It isn't misleading unless you fail at reading comprehension. It doesn't say you get the Imperial race with it. It says any race in any faction, which is true. Imperials can already be in any Faction without the Explorer's Pack.

I wasn't trying to troll. I was genuinely trying to help. And I didn't know that Imperials can be in any faction. I guess you learn something new every day.

I kinda have the explorers pack from pre-ordering. Never played a crossfaction race yet... just felt more right to let them stay where their homes are...

Imperials are probably one of the best stamina build races around. Plus, being able to make your gearimperial is nifty in regards to getting an unified look out of found sets I suppose...
If I didn't dislike imperials for the lore, I might have been tempted to go for imp edition. Play an old school imperial exile, who fled cyrodil when the empire became all daedra-worshipping in the wake of the soulburst, got caught and sent to coldharbour only to escape to one of the factions, and now dreams of oneday restoring the empire to its former glory... stuff like that...

But I prefer playing dunmer, so that's that. ;)

    why not both ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

On a serious note, I have both of 'em and lemme tell you, once I got the Imperial Edition digital upgrade like 2 weeks after the launch, I've been only playing Imperials since then. Awesome racial bonuses speak for themselves.
Also, I wouldn't really like playing let's say Nord in DC. I understand that some people do it and justify it by saying that their character does not agree with its own faction and so leaves to enemy, but being an Imperial makes the game more interesting.
I mean I can make quest decisions regardless of who might I help - in other words as an Argonian in EP, I should aid Argonians in decision-making quests. Remember Deshaan's Argonian revenge on that Dark Elf whose family enslaved Argonians? As an Argonian I should or could help the Argonians, as a Dark Elf I could turn these Argonians down and kill 'em. As an Imperial, I am independent, I can freely build my character and develop it no matter the alliances.

Uh.. I got a bit carried away...

If you are thinking of having your main char as stamina or tank then Imperial edition covers you as Imperial is excellent choice and can be any faction. They also are not too shabby as a caster, but if specifically wanting a magicka based char then Adventurers will serve you better.
